What do you normally use? And what type of moisturizer or ingredients are you looking for?

i usually use an oil like africa's best or lustra silk's aloe vera leave-in. i'm looking for something cream based, light, without mineral oil.

Can't go wrong with Qhemet- either the AOHC or the OHHB. Both are super moisturizing and softening.

Bumping... With the cold weather comes warnings that glycerine will draw moisture out of your hair if there isn't enough in the air. So, if you're saying goodbye to the famous aloe/glycerine/rosewater mix or another glycerine-rich moisturiser, what are you replacing it with? I so wanna try QB, but I so don't wanna pay those prices!

I use AOHSR as my moisturizer and seal with a little Shea and castor oil. Yes, AOHSR is very thick, my hair is in cornrows under a wig, so the thickness of AOHSR doesn’t bother me at all. If I was wearing my hair out, I would go with a lighter moisturizer. Works great in the winter!

Qhemet Biologics burdock root cream is what I use.

It’s fantastic to hear that I can use Qhemet Biologics’s Olive & Honey Hydrating Balm and Qhemet Biologics’s Burdock Root Butter Cream during the winter as I was unsure as to whether I could due to them containing Vegetable Glycerin. Thanks for the recommendation Ladies :)

I am surprised noone mentioned the protective Mist Bodifier by Taliah Waajid Black Earth Products. It does not contain any glycerine and is the perfect leave-in, detangler and moisturizer all in one and you can't beat the price either. CVS stores carry the entire line now I think.

I'm liking Alba Botanicals Leave-in conditioner a whole lot. It's very thick and rich. I got mine at Whole Foods.

I've never heard of that. See, just one more thing for me to go out and buy.

afroveda shea amla, cocolatte, totally twisted, hemp butter

qhemet heavy cream

ohm sweet hair pudding

oyin whipped pudding, burnt sugar pomade

jane carter twist and lock and nourish and shine

and my all time fave is the good ole unrefined shea butter.

For my mix, I replace the glycerine with honeyquat that purchased from http://www.lotioncrafter.com. I actually like it better anyway.

oh i can already tell you i love it. i used it the last time i had braids to take them out and it have so much slip. i love that stuff. i was so tempted to really start in on that bottle but i want to get the ojon out the way first. i also love that it has just a few ingredients. i hate having to read 20-11 ingreadients. and i can get this stuff locally(im tempted to buy another bottle).

That's great to hear. I haven't heard any bad reviews on this product yet, thank God. The bolded made me laugh because I feel the same way. All the words always seem to come together as one big looooong word to me:lachen:.

I need to figure out what to moisturize my hair with. I am 3 months post relaxer and contemplating transitioning (I will make up my mind at 6 months).

So far I've just been using my mizani rose h20 followed by either kemi or WGO.

I would Suggest either Qhemet or even Butters from Texas Natural Supply.

Qhemet is an excellent Moisturizer for 10+ Week Post Relaxed Hair.:yep:
