It will be getting cold soon in NYC, I was wondering are there any suggestions/recommendations for products that are effective for the winter elements?

Perhaps heavy butters to ensure that the moisture is sealed into your hair.

I always throw in some hot oil treatments, or a rich pre poo treatment. I'm also more conscious about sealing and will increase this a bit more in the winter. I also carry some sort of spray moisturiser that I can spritz in my hair during the day time at work.

What are some names of good butter ???

I like Qhemet's Amla & Olive Heavy Cream. It really softens my hair, but I used it less in the summer because it's thick. Most likely, it will be one of my staples for the winter.

My favorite pre-poo is Burt's Bees Avocado butter pre-shampoo treatment. It's very rich and really helps soften my hair. You can also use a little on dry patches as a butter. Overall, it's just a great product.

yea i break out Qhemet's amla olive butter

I'll probably DC more often with SSI brulee.
And i'll use more oils on my scalp and hair shaft. I normally don't do it in the summer
