I still havent found that one thing that will make my hair super soft. my hair comes out nice after washes but I really want softness a good leave in please.
I don't know if you prefer a watery leave-in or creamy, so I'll tell you what I'm using right now. My favorite is Clairol Herbal Essences leave in. It's watery, but it detangles nicely, strenghens the hair and the smell is intoxicating. It softens, but not like "cream of nature" soft, you know what I mean? I use it as an alternative to Infusium 23, which made my hair hard and "crunchy". I'm still looking for a good and creamy leave in. The last creamy leave in I tried was 911's herbal hair lotion stuff. Hated it. I've heard good reviews of Clairol 5x daily nourishment leave in. Which is a creamy leave in. I may buy it next time I go to Walgreens. Sorry if I wasn't of much help...
The best leave in? OMG the best ever is the kiddie leave in "Beautiful beginnings", I love it(to me it's the best) then I can say the "911 leave in" too.

I like it. I don't know if it's what you're looking for. You want something that will leave your hair super soft. It won't give you alot of slip, but it makes your hair strong and detangled.

I have only been able to find it on-line, it's called AROSCI INTRA VYVING LEAVE-IN TREATMENT
Fine mist spray-on formula. Designed to revitalize dry, damaged hair between conditioning services. Moisturizes and tames unruly hair strands and here's the link Aroscio
I have a friend who also uses this and her hair feels really nice afterwards - like silk (when it's dry, ignore how it feels when it's wet)
Hmmm. I thought Motions Nourish was pretty good
I'm using the Biolage Leave in now but I haven't been that impressed however it's gotten great reviews so far it hasn't done much as for detangling and i don't care the smell.
Giovanni Direct Leave-In is another with great reviews, I liked it but it didn't blow me away
I'm trying the Clairol 5x daily nourishment leave in as well now but it has some citrus additives that I'm a little suspicious of and again no detangling effects
.
I actually liked the Nexxus Humectress conditioner that can double as a leave-in. I thought it was moisturizing but it didn't do much as for detangling.
Aussie Hair Insurance
Hawiaan Silky
Mane 'N Tail Moisturizer-Texturizer Leave-In Conditioner
Next on my list to try is: VO5 detangle & shine, I don't have high hopes for this one cause I didn't care for any of the conditioners.
Infusium I'm neutral I used this mainly for the stated strengthening--it didn't detangle for me.
Dang I just proofread my post and I'm sounding really negative.
Can you tell that detangling is important to me? Well I need me a good detangler to fall in love with.
Humph.
So to answer your question Motions Nourish Leave-In has been the best...so far
Clairol Renewal 5X conditioner followed by the CR 5X Daily Nourishment leave-in detangled my hair like nothing before. The leave-in is creamy but light with great slip if ya load in enough of it.
My only problem with it is that it imparts no shine or smooth finish on my wet bun styles (4 weeks past touchup) due to lack of mineral oil or waxes or cones. I'm using it up anyway.
I've tried Motions oil moisturizer hair lotion -- the 2nd ingredient is mineral oil. Smooth finish and shine, but it's drying and the build up suffocates my fine, 4b, relaxed hair.
I think the best solution (for me) is to use a creamy leave-in with a serum that rinses out easily for my smooth shine and finish.
Your hair sounds like mine. Perhaps you would be willing to PM me some of the product hits and misses that you have experienced. I have been at this hair game for a few years now, and I am still having a problem figuring out what works for me.
In my opinion, it is the Hairobics Spray Leave-In Conditioner. I apply it to the scalp when I wash, and then every other day until the next time I wash my hair (which is weekly). I then massage the scalp, and comb it through to the ends.
The Hairobics Spray Leave-In Conditioner smells nice, and is very moisturizing. It is doing a nice job on my new growth, and on my hair in general.
I have 4ab hair. I like Motions Nourish Leave in, when I am wearing my hair in a twist out or in a bun. The Motions leave in makes my hair curly, and really helps to hold the wave pattern from twisting my hair. I like to use Giovanni's Direct Leave in for roller sets. The product ingredients are natural and great for the hair. The smell....well...it isn't sweet or pretty really. Smells more medicinal to me.
I like Redken Extreme leave in too. But, the Redken has alcohol in it. When I use that, my hair does better if I air dry for some reason. The Redken is good for smoothing the hair. Nexxus Headdress gives my hair lots of volume. But if I had to choose just one product, I'd use the Giovanni Direct Leave In. It REALLY makes the hair soft and smooth. HTH
The best leave in i have ever tried is the Razac leavein. The slip i incredible, and it is consisitent. They dont list the ingredients on the bottle.. so i'm not sure what the heezy is in it. I have always said that if a product is straight up mineral oil, petroleum and sd alcohol 40.. and it works, I'll use it!!!!
I'm one my 2nd bottle and have not noticed anything negative about it, only slip, detangling, and moisture.
I dont really have a problem with shine I do however have a problem with softness..I want it to be super soft..I just tried last night ....oil moisturizer with jojoba oil from keracare. Its creamy and gives good shine but it wasnt so soft. I am actually nine weeks into my relaxer so that might be the problem too. I have yet to try the arosci and keracare leave in.
I have only tried 3 leave -ins.
I like all I tried though.Kiehl's leave-in was thick and very moisturising..seems like it would be good for winter.
Elasta Leave-in Moisture Sealing Conditioner is my latest and it is very nice.I also like AG leave-in a lot too.
So I guess all three are my fave leave-ins

Beana,
is the leave in a liquid or a cream? does it smell perfumey like the other Razac products ?
My favs are Aussie Hair Insurance and Africa's Best Chrolestoral (sp)? I use Africa's Best on dry hair when I'm doing a braid out. Comes out soft and moisturized. Also, I just started using Healthy Hair Butter by CD on wet hair. This is the bomb I use this close to touch up time.

I keep seeing the word "slip". What does that means?
when ur hair is wet the comb easily glides through the hair thus preventing breakage. Also conditioners and leave ins that give hair slip smoothes the hair cuticle.
ITA with Beana. I usually hate liquid leave-ins but this one made a believer out of me. It really does detangle my hair really well. However, I can't use it straight out of the bottle because it leaves white stuff in my hair when it dries. But I just dilute it by half with water in a spray bottle and it works like a charm. It has a slight smell, but nothing like the Razac body lotion if that is what you are thinking of. The smell doesn't linger at all. For the size of the bottle that you get, I think it is a really good price. I'm still trying to find the Razac serum, though.
Giovanni's Direct Leave In!! I just bought two bottles today!! Oh, did I say Giovanni's Direct Leave In?? My hair loves this stuff! I mix it with coconut or almond oil and I have great results!
