Hello Im seeking to purchase a new flat iron, but I want the best of the best lol. Ive use CHI for years but I want something new. Which flat irons are the best to provide silky results without snagging the hair? I want to purchase from Sally, Ulta, or sephora because im not a fan of online shopping. I prefer a professional iron, so the price doesn't matter. Please Help. Also, what temperature can I safely iron my natural roots on with heat protecant? I'm transitioning to natural, but I don't care about heat damaging the curl pattern.

thanks

Hands down I recommend the babyliss pro nano titanium prima 3000. It heats evenly and gives silky results on 4b/c hair with one pass. I wouldn't use it on anything higher than 410. I bought mine from Ulta and I paid $194 after tax. You will not be disappointed with it. Some reviews that I read before I purchased it said that it snags but I haven't had any issues with snagging.

My absolute favorite thus far that I've EVA had (and still have) is the Bio Ionic 10x Pro Styling Iron. It's ceramic, heats up immediately, leaves hair silky and moisturized, and does not snag. It costs $230 (before tax :look: ) and can be purchased at Sephora. It has a vibrating feature that I find helps when straightening my hair.

I am loving my Remington 1 inch wet dry flat iron for $23 from Target. I like just as much as my Sedu.

I am on the hunt to replace my beloved Sedu. I have the original version and have heard that the newer version isn’t as good. I dropped it several weeks ago and the cord block fell apart. I know it’s just a matter of time before it stops working completely so I want to find a replacement before it happens. I recently tried the following:

-Bio Ionic - my hair laughed at it. For the price, I would think it would be really good.
-Chi Lava - seemed to singe my hair and didn’t straighten my hair well either.

I have a BABYLISS professional flatiron that I bought a while back from Ulta. That thing was expensive but, I get a bomb silk-like press every time I use that thing. Well......if I ever use it. Which is like once a year.
