I just came back from the car. That's where I go to dust my hair. Anyway, I had a hard time finding split ends. I got through about half (the front half) finding only a few split ends, a few knots and a couple that could bend at unnatural angles. I'm so thrilled. This means I won't have to trim again. Yay!

I've been feeling bald lately so I'm happy it looks like I won't always feel that way. :( Just thought I'd share.

Great news! Umm . . . why do you do your dustings in the car? Also, what's your method? Just curious :look:

I dust in the car 'cause I need the sunlight and all the hairs fall directly on my lap. All I have to do is get out and shake 'em off. When I do it in the bathroom, I can't see as well and they end up all over the counter.

I have two methods for dusting. I call them spiral and fishing. When there are a lot of splits I use the spiral method. I twist the hair and cut off everything that sticks out.

When there are just a few I fish for them. I hold a small section of hair up to the light and look for damaged ones. No reason to cut off perfectly healthy hairs.

It's time consuming so you have to do it in stages, but when you're done the damage is gone, but not the length.

Very cool! Congrats!

I've noticed that frequent dusting (and moisturizing in between) is working for me as well.

I also do the fishing and the spiral. Except when I do the spiral method, I still only trim off the split hairs b/c some will stick out just b/c they are uneven not necessarily b/c they are split. Not sure if you find that's the case with yours or not. I love dusting. I also plan to do trims that even up my hair due to the dustings occasionally, too.

I know what you mean. But for some reason I seem to miss a lot of splits when I fish in the spirals. I'll spiral and look for splits and cut them all off then fish and find a billion. So I started a new method. I would spiral and cut everything off, then reverse the spiral and cut everything off. Then do both again still cutting everything off. When I fished I would still find some but not as many. But this time when I did a spiral I didn't see any splits. I had to separate the hair and fish for 'em. It was great and the first time I ever just fished.
