I thought Salerm was from Spain? Im sure it is...anyhow...I like their conditioners (dominican) as far as their wheat one, their honey and almond as well...

Salerm is from Spain, but a lot of Dominican salons use it...that's why it's referred to as "Dominican"

Has anyone tried the BPT Wheat Germ or Honey & Almond Conditioning Cream, Lafier Honey & Almond Conditioning Cream or any of the Henna Queen (Queenn?) or Supieror de Greit' Oll products?

For those using Nacidit Aciete Oliva conditioner and Miss Key Diez Y Uno conditioner which would you rate higher?

Does anyone have a pic of the Miss Key Diez Y Uno? I think my cousin use to use this in my hair and I use to love it. I am going to have to ask where she got it.

what do domincan conditioners do that other conditioners don't . hmmmm, let me rephrase that... why the hype over dominican conditioners; what am i missing? should i be useing these along with my lust and keraphix?

Some people's hair just seems to 'like' them. They tend to be very thick and moisturizing without a lot of added oils and grease. And I like having something that isn't easy to find. I feel like I'm putting something special and exotic on my hair w/o breaking the bank because they are so cheap. Well--they are cheap if you live near a store that sells them.

A friend in NY sends me mine and I pay for the products and the shipping.

The Beauty Supply Store that everyone buys their products from..does the store itself carry alot of Dominican Products?

Cause Im looking for this leave in conditioner that my beautician used to put in my hair and I cant find it anywhere..I dont wanna go back in there just to buy the stuff..since I wont be using her anymore..

Ok, Im dominican and I do use dominican conditioners myself. Dominican Republic is a island in the caribbean so their hair products are tailored to suit the needs of very dry, tropicalized hair, and relaxed hair (since many of us do relax). They use alot of the humectants our culture have used for centuries: olive oil, avocado, honey, etc... Our hair just tends to react better to their products as opposed to a "pantene" or "suave" which is more tailored to damage free, straight, caucasian hair

Hi Foxycus02,

Thanks for the info. Could you please give us the names of some other good Dominican products (shampoos, conditioners, leave-ins, etc.)? TIA.

ok, i've got why they are good for or hair, so why use anything else like "lust" etc... if i'm using dominican products do i need to use regular otc hair products?

I alternate or use them with my regular old American products. I'll moisturize with Tropical Milk & Honey for a few weeks. The next few times I might use LeKair Cholesterol. It's not an either/or thing for a pj like me.

Allandra,

What is the difference between a Domincan conditioner and a Dominican rinse? Do you use one instead of the other or do you use both when washing your hair?

TIA!!
