Can anyone suggest a really good clarifier??

Also, once you clarify, what do you use to put the moisture back in your hair??

Thanks..

Paul Mitchell Shampoo Three has been great for me.

After using, I use a regular moisturizing poo and then continue with my routine (whether protein or moisturizing cond).

HTH!

Cosigning on that one... and i will sell it to you Too!
But, its great b/c you don't have to dilute it, and your hair doesn't dry out

I have only used Suave's daily clarifying shampoo.. and I enjoy the results from it... and it was only .99cents at Walmart:)

Nexxus Aloe Rid or Redken Cleansing Cream, they're the best clarifying shampoos I've ever used.

After I clarify I do my regular deep conditioning or sometimes I use a protein treatment and then deep condition. I add a little warm honey and oil to my deep conditioner and leave it on for about 45 minutes.

Sounds good Camellia, my hair likes Nexxus.I need to clarify this weekend..

I'm using up the last of my Keracare 1st Lather before purchasing Aveda Detoxifier.

Afterwards I mix Aveda Sap Moss Shampoo, Vo5 Tea Therapy Conditioner and water in an applicator bottle, shake it up and lather up with that. Then I rinse and deep condition as usual.

You asked for clarifying shampoos, but I use conditioner so I don't know if this will help. I use either Suave Clarifying Cond. or AO Lemon Clarifying Cond.

Kenra Clarifying Shampoo. After, I always deep condition so no need to put moisture back. Plus this one seems to deep clean without drying effects. It's a great clarifying poo!

Redken Cleansing Cream. I have used this for yeeeears and it has never failed me. I deep condition for at least 20 minutes - 1 hour (depends on whether or not I use heat) after using the cleansing cream.

Bumping for more replies! :)

Ive NEVER clarified before in my life, ladies! But Ive decided that Im ready to add this to my regimen..... so i have my lil notepad out and am taking notes from this thread! Im heading to the BSS this wknd to pick up a Clarifying Poo.

So keep the suggestions coming, pretty pleeeaaassse?!!! :p

Ojon is awesome. It contains "a rich exotic oil extracted from the tropical Ojon® tree. This unique tree grows only in the rainforest of the Mosquitia region of Central America. " It clarify's while moisturizing at the same time. I don't need to shampoo after it. I then use Frederic Fekkai's shea butter mask for deep conditioning. My hair comes out bouncy, moisturized, shiny, and light.

Ion Purifying Treatment from Sally's. It doesn't strip the moisture from my hair just the junk off so my regular ol' moisture works much better.

I use Aveda clarifying shampoo followed by a moisturizing shampoo (Keracare).

After my shampoo I always do a deep condtioner that has a protein/moisture balance.

I have just started clarifying after learning so much here. I bought Pantene clarifying shampoo. It seems to be doing the trick, I can tell my hair is super clean after using it, I did two lathers with it. After that I used my new Acetite de Oliva poo and conditioner (thanks to reading a post from Kinicakes), and the Lacio Lacio leave in. I am actually sitting under my dryer with my rollers while I type this.

Thanks for all the feedback guys!

And thank you, OP, for starting this thread! I know its been done tons of times in the past, but i sho' didnt feel like doing a Search and then weeding thru all those convulated posts! Sometimes its just nice to start fresh, ya know! ;)

Heading out now to pick one of these up! :D

I just got back from the BSS - I wish I had seen this thread before I left.

I purchased the Suave daily clarifying shampoo. I hope I like the results.

Yes, its quite nice. My hair was not tangled at all, woo hoo. They are shipping the avocado deep conditioner on Monday, I can't wait to try that too. I really have too many products and I need to quit, but I just can't. I am itching to get these dominican products in my two year olds head, but she won't be still. She said she plans not to bathe this entire weekend!

this does woners for me

Suave, for dirt cheap, works wonderful at making my hair squeaky clean.

then I use the only expensive shampoo I have, Nexxus Humectrus, to put the squeak back in.

I use Ayur Coconut Shampoo and even though it's not a "clarifier", it does the job great at clarifying.
After, I just use Better Botanicals conditioner or Nexxus Therappe Moisturizing Conditioner.

I like the clarifying shampoo by ION Anti-Frizz b/c it isn't that harsh on my hair.
 I love ION products. Sometimes I use their moisturizer. It makes my hair feel so silky.
