One N Only Argan oil flat iron 1", also at Sally's :)
I use this in the salon & love it.

Sent from my iPhone using LHCF

I LOVE my GVP from Sally's... it's a knock off of the CHI... think I paid about $40 for mines...

I have a GVP from Sally as well and I really like it. If you want REALLY cheap, Andis (about $20-25 from WalMart, etc.--that's how cheap) was good for me before I got the GVP.

I hear a lot of good things about this one (around $40 at Walmart or Bed Bath and Beyond, although it may be hard to find):

I'm also really interested in this one (online at Sally and Folica for $70 or less, or possibly at your local BSS):

I had good experiences with the Solia. With a good folica sale you could get it for under 60. I only stopped using it because my sister accidentally broke mine by smashing the plug

The Cortex Platinum Flatiron @$20 valued @ $60(I think)from TJMaxx or Marshalls, full ceramic plates!!! Goes to 450.

i got this GREAT flat iron from Target by Toni& Guy. It cost $30.00!

it costs $54 dollars. i have been flat ironing the front of my hair say every week or every other week and it is by far showing the least amount of damage ive ever seen with using a flat iron. i used to use a sedu and while i liked it, i ended up slowly but surely breaking off all my hair. i have also used an andis flat iron before, but i been know that thing would burn off all my hair

for me personally any sort of regular flat ironing is going to slowly start breaking my hair off. i dont believe i can safely flat iron on a frequent regular basis. but i am very surprised at how slowly i am showing damage from using this flat iron. when i do straighten, its mainly to smooth out my edges and to give myself a sideswept bang. my bang still comes down to my mouth, and i havent been hiding my hair since... around october. under normal circumstances i would expect my edges to be less than an inch long at this point, and they might be the same length if not retaining a tiny bit of growth :yep:

my biggest concern with flat ironing is that it sets back my length; if i take my time i can get my hair straight with any flat iron. so far this has been the only flat iron ive used that hasnt had me go bald yet. (i better quit while im ahead!)

Where did you purchase ?

I have not tried a flat iron on my natural hair yet. However, I do have one that is awesome and that's the Wet&Dry from Remington. It has high temps for the those with thick low porous strands. Oh yeah, I wouldn't use it on wet hair regardless what they claim. Good Luck
