We have a long thread about becoming "That Girl" but we need to know how to style the hair no matter what you wear.

Do you do your hair according to what you're wear or do you have a highly fashionable hair style that just go great no matter what you wear?

Example I'm going to try Oprah hair style. It can be worn in a loose french roll, loose pony, up or down, a loose bun, gather at the side for a sexy look or worn down for the everyday look.

What are any tip you can give on how to become "That Girl" hair wise.

If I am wearing a halter or backless dress, I always wear my hair in an updo. I dress casually everyday so my ponytail works for me.

I usually do my hair according to what I'm wearing. I might wear an updo if I'm wearing something formal, I might wear a cute headband in my hair with some soft curls in my hair if I'm wearing a cute summer dress, etc. :) I change my hair up all the time.

This is a good thread. :yep:

I do rotate among the few styles I've learned over the years--French twists, low braided buns, ponytails, braidouts and rollersets. Most of these can go with anything I wear since I can dress the hair up or down.

Yes... I do my hair according to what I'm wearing. When I wear halter/tube tops/dresses I prefer my hair down. It takes the attention away from my broad shoulders.

I'm the opposite, I wear my hair up to draw attention to my neck.

I wear my hair according to my mood, which I guess you can say also dictates what I wear. For instance, if I'm feeling sexy, I'll put on a dress and straighten my hair. Straight, flowy hair is a must for sexy times :).

If I'm feeling in a laid back mood, I'll wear casual clothes and pull my hair back into a pony tail.

If I'm in a fun, funky mood, then I'll wear something crazy like shredded jeans with rips all over, a tank top, and my hair wild and curly!

It depends on my outfit, what type of place I'm going to, and how much NG I have:eek: Since its summertime and I am 4+mos post I have to wear updos or my hair falls and Im am hot hot hot. Since my hair is so dark in pics all you can see is the front but I do messy buns, french rolls, just different updos to spice the back up but stick w/ the swope bang or mohawk look.

Since I'm still deep into protective styling, I basically wear my sidebun all the time. It can be formal, conservative, and casual depending on what accessories I wear. I generally wear a thick pearl ponytail holder around it for church or when I am wearing a suit and pearls, a ponytail holder with lots of hanging beads, flowers, scarfs, or broaches for casual, and I have a silver tiara with crystals that fits nicely around the bun for formal, then I wear it up higher on top of my head.

Now that you rephrased the question I guess I'm the latter. My styles switch frequently but they're almost always glamourous styles whether it be the texture, cut or color. I always wear hair styles that can be dressed up or dressed down. I rarely wear ponytails unless it's my phony afro puff. And i only wear that when I'm between hairstyles or haven't gotten a chance to do my hair yet. I would say to just pick a fashionable yet functional style. You can't go wrong with that.

Lavendar, that side bun is gorgeous! I dunno if it would work on me, but you are definitely rockin' it :)!

I love my hair up and out of the way so I mostly go with french rolls. They can be messy and casual or neat and sleek depending on the occasion. Today I have a satin covered donut for my ballerina bun. Occasionally I change up and wear it down for special occasions.

I definitely style my hair according to what I'm wearing in addition to my mood. If I have to dress conservatively for work, I'll typically wear my hair in a low ponytail or a bun with pearl earrings and necklace. When I'm wearing a halter, I usually wear my hair so that it's not on my shoulders (my husband loves my shoulders.) When I feeling that funky, bohemian thing, I wear my hair curly and full -- the bushier the better along with some big earrings. Sometimes I like to tie a colorful scarf around my head and leave the curls hanging out. I love that look, but I don't typically wear it in the office -- don't wanna scare nobody! ha!

I only straighten my hair every few weeks, so I don't wear it that way too often.
