Being convicted

I was talking about a personal situation to a friend of mine and he said "i m convicted and God wants a fellowship with me" what did he mean exactly ?he seemed very vague and kept repeating that .

Hi kindheart!
Im not sure exactly what was going through your friend's head at the time but I have had the similar experience about being convicted for not spending time with my Heavenly Father. I think that is possibly what your friend meant. As Christians in this world and not of this world, we get caught up in our daily lives while forgetting to spend time with God. I hope this helps and hopefully someone else will chime in if you need more clarity.
