Consider signing up for their online newsletter.

I purchased their Beginner's Pack for 70+(with shipping, etc.) and then 3 days later received a BIG SALE email offering a BETTER offer (The Complete Training Package: same cds plus another and a book I think) for 20 bucks LESS!!!

I emailed the company suggesting they avoid sending those types of emails to new purchasers (as it kinda rubs you the wrong way) and recieved an emailing basically telling me to click the link to unsubscribe.

I ordered on the 16th and recieved today. I already know how to braid and have a clientele, but it never hurts to refine ones technique and I like to support sisterpreneurs.

While I don't appreciate the quality of the response, I'll be sure to come back with a thorough and FAIR review of the product from the perspective of an experienced braider. I'm hoping to be IMPRESSED!

I noticed that too when I brought it...I didn't know that you can subscribe before buying!!

I think you become subscribed when you sign up for one of the free ebooks.

You know I have to laugh because I have purchased the "kinky twists" and the "cornrow compilation" videos from this company over the last 6 months and just today, out of nowhere I received an email from them simply stating "Just wanted to let you know that if you want to subscribe you can click on the link below"...I was like, what was that all about.

I have been receiving a lot of promotions from them, and sign up for this and get on the preferred list for that but I know this BS is just business. So I don't know...I'm thinking it could have been just a mass mailing or something. :look:

I don't think it was personal because I received the same "Unscribe" email today. I agree with lil'paw that it is just a mass automated mailing.

I hate I missed the email with the $20 off though. Most of the time, I don't even bother with reading the emails.

Thanks ladies!! That's good to know. I guess that means they just ignored me. LOL! I suppose that's better than being told to unsubscribe. I hope they consider my advice. Who wants to be told 3 days later that a superior product is being sold for 20 bucks than what you order???

There's yet another sale going on, so I hope those who are considering ordering will subscribe so that they can take advantage of the "special" savings. :)

Also...
If you're just looking to learn how to braid, download Robin Woods' video (when the server is up...), it's free and helped me a lot.

Yep, I wish I that video had been around when I was first learning to braid. So for anyone who's starting at square one, save your money and press the link. :)

I thought of the purchase as "continuing education" for experienced braiders. If it's not of any use to me, I'll just pass it on. I'm planning on watching it tonight and I'll post a review on Sunday. (Saturday is going to be too busy...)
