Before texturizer touch up (advice needed)

Hello All,
Next Friday I'm having my texturizer (very light textlaxing) touched up. I'm seeking advice on preparing my hair. Should I be focused on protein or moisture or both beforehand? Any additional advice would be appreciated. TIA

I am not getting a texturizer touch up until December (I hope), but I know for me, my plan is to give myself a hard protien treatment (Aphogee 2 Step) followed by at least 30 mins of a super moisturizing DC. I figure, I am going for a chemical treatment, so I need to strengthen my hair as much as possible before hand.
