I will be applying Silk Elements Lye Mild relaxer in about 20 minutes....wish me luck!! My BF and I are going to work it out on my head, lol! So anyway my question is does anyone know where I can find some good thorough instructions on how to relax virgin hair? I am not sure if I am supposed to comb the relaxer to the ends or not...thanks in advance, and again wish me luck!

because I am tired of not being able to wear my own hair straight when I want to without intense heat, which causes damaged ends. It is too much work also and I just dont have the time it takes to maintain my natural hair. I am torn, I wont lie ;-) but I think its the best thing for me. DAng I sound like I am breaking up with my virgin hair...I guess I am...

I wish you luck and I hope you'll take some before and after photos for us.

I would suggest that you PM Still A Lady, she recently went from completely natural to relaxed and she is usually on here and PMs

Also know that she didn't like the result of her first attempt on virgin hair. And I think it took her 2 more tries before she was completely satisfied.

Here's her album, there might be some tips in there.

I don't think you should do it in the next 20 mins if you still have questions about the process.

Here's a thread with a bunch of info on self relaxing http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?t=157899

Its understandable to have questions. lol, i do the same thing before i jump into something. I hope it turned out great. And yes, since you're completely natural, you would relax the entire head. ;)
