Beauty School or The Dominicans ?

I am going to take my braids out and get a blow out and trim and rebraid my hair.
I am debating if I should go to the Dominicans or the Beauty school.

Domican Pro:
Very professional
In and out quick
Nice trim and I can get a cute style.

Cons:
Too much heat
Too much $$$$ because I am natural ( ~ $60)

Beauty School Pros:
Cheap ( ~ $30)
If you get the right student they can hook you up nicely

Cons:
You do not know who is going to do your hair
The wait

Maybe you could go to the Dominicans and get a roller set to minimize the amount of heat used.

Well if the Dominican's are very professional then you can tell them how you want your hair styled. You can also tell them that your hair will not be under the dryer, blowdried, and then flat ironed.

i'd rather go to a hair school. they are students and will listen to you more when you tell them NO HEAT!! plus its less expensive

I say stay away from the hair school. I've been countless times and it was bad each time. They only have certain products and tools that they can use. Many of the products that use such as heat protection is not "approved" by the school. I say go to the Dominicans and get a set and speak up of you don't like what they are doing.
