I wrap with a satin scarf for the front, sides, and back to make sure they stay looking flat and smooth then I put a satin cap on top.

I put a silk bonnet on my hair FOLLOWED by a stocking cap and I KNOW I look BAAAADDDDD. The stocking cap keeps the silk bonnet from falling off my hair at night...

I do the same thing otherwise it comes off. I won't be winning any nighttime beauty contest.

Sounds like everyone here is relaxed. Are there any naturals that wear satin to sleep ? My hair is very short. So every night I spray water and put conditioner in may hair and then wear a plastic cap to bed to keep the moisture in. I s this a bad thing ?

I sleep on a satin pillowcase.

My hair is natural too. I tie a big silk scarf on it, and it doesn't slip off (it's silk, not satin). I tie it Aunt Jemima style. I've been searching for a satin pillowcase, and have not found one yet, because I would love to sleep without tying up my hair!
If I have conditioner-washed my hair shortly before bed, and it's still wet, I put a plastic cap on, so I don't mess up my pillow.

I'm natural. My hair is still short so I usually just let it 'fro out underneath my drawstring satin bonnet. If I'm trying to keep it flat and smooth I'll wear a silk or satin scarf. I get big scarves (36" to 42") so I can wrap the tails around my head twice. This keeps it from sliding off.

Rectangular shaped scarves are good, too.

Lately I've applied Surge to my scalp when I get home from campus. My hair's not dry by the time I hit the sack, so I've slept with my head wrapped in a plastic bag from the grocery store.

Strangely enough, I've slept alone.

Before I started Surging twice daily, I'd just leave my (dry) hair in the bun I'd worn all day, but I'd tie it up in a silky scarf. My pillowcases are silky too (pink ones from Sally's).

i plait it and put on a satin scarf. it took my a while to find the right "before bed" products. They are s-curl, ORS carrot oil or CDHHB (usually one or two of the products).
ps- im natural.
