Hey ladies! I did bantu knot out using Mixed Chicks leave in conditioner and I'm super excited with the way it turned out! My friend had given me a little that she had left right after my BC Dec 2010, but I didn't try it back then.

I figured since it's been sitting under my bathroom cabinet I might as well try it...so glad I did. I co-washed earlier that day then applied the Mixed Chicks and let my hair air dry in a ponytail. Later in the evening my hair was damp and I did about 12 twists and then put them into bantu knots. Took it down the next morning but some were still a little damp so I rolled a few on flexi-rods for about 45 mins. Here are the results:

Gotta love shrinkage!

very pretty-you and the hair!
the "still damp in the morning" fiasco is the bane of my existence :nono:

Thanks ladies!! @ Rocky, lol, that's always my story. Every time I do a twistout, braidout, anything, my hair is always damp in the morning. I usually have frizziness because of taking my hair down before it dries. I think it helped that I did the bantu knots on slightly damp hair this time, versus with my hair really wet.

Beautiful!!!! Your hair has really grown. Thanks for sharing. I love bantu knots outs also and ITA about 'still damp hair'. It can be a challenge in the morning or when styling.

Thanks ladies!!

Pretty hair!!!

Anyone ever told you look kinda like Lisa Raye?

@soon2bsl

Thanks LucieLoo12! It's funny because at first when I read this I was thinking, no one's ever told me that. Then I thought about it and almost forgot people used to say it way back when I was in high school and even used to call me Diamond ha ha. :yep:

Thanks Garner! This is the longest my hair has ever been! :) Yeah the damp hair can be a pain, but I know to make sure it's had time to air dry for a while before twisting/braiding etc.
