What is the best way to grow out bangs? How can you "make" them "catch up" with the rest of your hair?

I curl them, slick them down, blowdry them, and flat iron and they are still perfect. I dont understand why that is. I can do all the damage I want to them and they are still nice and straight w/ no split ends. I never understood this because its been like this since I was younger. Just be patient with them and they will grow. It seems like my bangs grow quicker than the rest of my hair. Maybe try using MN on just your bangs.

Its quite bizarre, is what it is.

So, when you have layers or bangs, the longer parts begin to grow more slowly and the shorter parts may grow more quickly in an attempt to achieve balance. For this reason, blunt cut hair is supposed to be the healthiest and fastest growing. Don't know if it's true...but it makes sense.
That's the idea with the Trimming/Dusting Increase Hair Growth thread I started. Although I haven't tested this theory, many ladies have experienced faster growing hair when trimmed or dusted. Hair (or body) seeking balance does make sense.Phoenix said:Somebody posted an article a while back about how your hair (like most other things) seeks homeostasis/balance.
