Big Forehead checking in...bangs are a necessity for me...not an option. LOL As for them stunting the growth of the rest of my hair? I can't say thats been my experience at all.

im not a bang fan. ive only worn then when i had a weave on and the look isnt for me:nono: plus i wear my hair curly most of the time and i dont like the look of curly bangs or straight bang and curly hair:nono:. i prefer my hair to be in long layers and leaving out a few tentrils to frame my face but only when the hair is longer.(past SL)

I like how I look with bangs, in fact I prefer it but I also noticed my bangs are the 1st thing to get damaged & break... so I avoid wearing them now

I LOVE bangs. Wore them for years. When I reach my ultimate goal, I just may cut some, long enough for a cute swoop bang. Always a sexy look. :yep:

Another member of the big fo' head club here. I've had bangs practically all of my life, but I'm finally growing them out now ... big fo' head be damned!

Ugh in december I gave myself bangs and have been regretting it ever since. I normally wear my hair in the front long and side swept, past my nose or lips. I cut them just below my eyebrows and they STILL haven't grown back yet. I don't know what the hell made me think it was a good idea. I told myself "well it's just a little hair in the front it will grow back"... not thinking about what I would do with the front of my head now that I am not straightening my hair anymore... I have to wear it pushed back all the time, and the hair in front is still too short to reach the ponytail, so I have to pin them down... which I think is probably what's causing them to grow back so slowly...

It was such a bad decision for me to make... thinking that junk was going to be cute and mature looking, HMPH!!! :wallbash::wallbash::nono::nono:

If possible can someone post pictures of bangs or some links to a gallery. I've been doing searches but its actually pretty difficult to find, especially for black women. TIA

My hair grows slow in the front and I got a big head....So I think a side swept bang will be best for me...TOO BAD,I don't even have enough hair in the front for that yet

I used to have bangs when I wore my hair straight, but I don't see how they can work with a curly look :nono:.

I was concerned about how bangs would work with natural hair, also. But I've seen a couple of natural ladies with cute bangs. Cree Summers (from A Different World) has really cute bangs. I wear my bangs in a twistout style on the sides of my forehead or roll with perm rods and wear the rest of my hair in a slicked back bun.

ETA: My bangs are all natural

I like bangs, but I don't have any. When I reach waist length and maintain it for a while I may cut bangs for a change.

i just had bangs cut but they grew back pretty fast. i get bangs cut often but i like the a litle longer now so that i can sweep them to the side.

same here. I get them cut long, once they grow out (quickly) I sweep them to the side. I like how I look with bangs.

I want some so bad! But I'm waiting to be APL first (currently SL). I know I'll get tired of the quick so I want to make sure I have some length before having some cut since I look best with long hair and bangs, not short hair and bangs (I have a round face).

I just recently let my stylist cut me some bangs (a scoop), I was a little reluctant at first but I love them now!

Never again. :nono: They are a p-zain to grow out, they stick out when I try to do a pony or bun, just too much maintenance for me. I don't wear my hair straight often plus I stretch, so the poofy roots just wouldn't work for me. They're cute as heck esp. for my big forehead  but I already know I can't deal with the cons. I just fake 'em with a swoop to the side if I want the look.

no bangs, i do a little swoop thing (if that makes sense) with my hair on one side to avoid showing too much forehead but otherwise, no bangs.

i actually cut some bangs and i like them. i dont know if i will keep them though because its throwing off my curly styles.

Anyone can wear bangs you just have to wear a bang that is suitable for your face and hair texture especially if you wear it in its natural state often.

I have a round face and medium length side bangs work for me . I would look absolutely horrible in straight across blunt bangs especiall if I was to wear my hair up.

I loves bangs when they pass the eyes, right now my bangs touch my lips but I may cut them a lil bit.

I have always loved bangs in theory, but usually once I actually cut them, not so much. I got some cut last Fall, little did I know that only four months later I'd cut back to a bob, and I now really wish I had one length hair instead of mostly bob with grown out 14 week post short hair in the front that won't do right!:swearing:

i looove me sum bangs!

about 2yrs ago i got front bangs and yes this was before the whole nicki minaj craze!lol at first i wasnt feelin them but when i realized all the black girls at school started getting the same haircut after i got it i started feelin em lol.my hair actually grows pretty fast so it didnt take long for them to grow out. They probably wouldve been SL by now however i havnt let them fully grow out,i always get them cut

Bangs are always a mistake for me and I want to grow them out right away
I saw an episode of ANTM where tyra was telling a girl that big foreheads make her features look better and she would look plain without it and that's my philosophy now
