I love banana clips but I gotta warn ya, back in the day they used to break out your kitchen area. These were a staple for me and lots of my friends in middle school +14 yrs ago..and the clips broke off mine and my friends hair.
Just giving a heads up!
Suerte said:Yeah the lil ball/socket thing will do that if you are not careful. If you wrap it in a piece of satin (I use old sleep caps/du rags in the same color as the comb) really tight and tie it off in a tiny knot it basically eliminates that problem.

Yeah, I still have a few of these from the 80s. I guess its a good time to break em back out. See, everything eventually comes back in style...

I forgot all about these! I used to love banana clips back in the day. I haven't worn one since I had a Jherri Curl back in the 80's.I'll be making a trip to Walmart on my lunch break this week to pick some up!

Banana clips bring back memories. When I was in middle school they were very popular. The girls would put their hair in a ponytail and then put the banana clip onkrissyprissy said:Go to Claires, they have some that dont break easy.

It's a BANANA CLIP!!!
I simply airdried my hair (using Sylver's scarf method), put in some Carusos, then the banana clip and Viola!!
Don't sleep on this ladies... it's a great time saver ESPECIALLY when in the middle of a stretch and wearing !!
