^^ Co-signing w/everyone else.. ur hair is lovely Poca! off to stalk ur foki **sigh** and dream of having ur hair LOL

Co-signing with everyone else- that's some beautiful hair! Some ppl asked how to get the banana clips on. I don't have as much hair as Poka but here's what I do. I gather the hair loosely with a ponytail holder and secure. Then I position the banana clip on wet or dry hair. Next I slide the ponytail holder off and style / fluff my hair to cover the banana clip otherwise I can't get the clip closed.

Here are two more places you might want to look at for cute hair accessories. Maurice's and Claire's

Thanks for that tip! Never thought of trying it that way. Maybe this could save me some frustration. Normally i give up on it because i don't have time to fool with the thing.

I knew before I entered this thread that I would have to put on bib  . You hair is so pretty Poka. I think I've mentioned this before, but I love your hairline , lol
Thanks kblc. Yes you did mention it in my fotki, lol. It means a lot that you say that because i'm self-concious about my hairline, one side is thinning. I always gel the edges down and do my baby hair:blush:. I just lke the look.

I feel you on those banana clips! They are soo cute but they unconnect all the time!!

beautiful!! I've been wanting to try banana clips for a while now.

Very nice style Pokahontas! I will be investing in some banana clips!

Put those earrings in a bag as well :D let me not forget :D

Gorgeous!

Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful!!!!!!!!

I just called my local Claire's. They carry headbands like Poka's. But they want like $4.50 for one. But you get the 2nd one half off. So, I know I'll spend it as soon I can get away from the dks and dh. I wonder if Big Lots has any....

Your hair is just beautiful. I so wish I could rock a banana clip, but my hair is always like :catfight: :hardslap: Maybe one day I'll find one that can hold up.

(drifting off in thought...."one day my hair will be like that." sigh

Thanks. I got the clip from walmart. Once i get them closed they stay pretty good. This one kind i got popped open as soon as i moved my head. They were a fancier type of banana clip.

All that lovely hair I'd imagine so :)

Great I will check Walmart out, I am in there every day Okay not everyday but 6 days out the week and I stay out of the hair sections for PJ like reasons.

My hair is like a sheet of paper so it won't open on me :( LOL
I do want the fancier ones though, so that is great :) Thanks

I'm sorry,I didn't word my post quite right....the fancier clip was the one that i had problems with. The plain ones are the good ones that hold, there's 3 in a pack. Just wanted to clarify so you don't get the wrong one.

The one i have on looks like this....>

The bad one looks like this.....>

I love this look!!!! Omg I love looking at my hair idol Pokahontas (for like 5 years now lol)
I love using banana clips...My hair is much thicker than yours so the ones more similiar to the bottom you posted work better on my hair. I can only use the ones you use when my hair is straight. These are the ones I use now...Not too large, not too small. In between the two you posted.

Thanks for the post

Pretty! To cut down on wrestling with the banana clip, I put my hair in a loose ponytail first, put the clip in then take out the ponytail holder. Much less frustration

Thanks for the post
Thanks very much for the complements :)!

I think our hair's thickness looks kinda similar when straight, no? I think your natural hair has more texture and volume than mine. My strands are very fine too.

Those are the exact clips i have that i couldn't get to work.....the ones posted are similar but now that i see your post i remember those are the ones. I just can't get the top to stay closed. If it was more secure it would be fine.

I don't know how I missed this thread. Lovely hair.
Off to buy some banana clips after work.

Those work on my straight hair. My hair appears really thin when it is straightened. Curly, I might be able to get it on wet...haven't tried yet. I've only tried with the first one you showed.

I LOVE YOUR HAIR!

I love this style. Due to this unruly section of my hair in the front, that refuses to curl like the rest of my hair, this was the first style I tried on my wet hair after I bc'd.

I do like ESANI, pull my hair into a loose ponytail and then put the clip in. I always have a hard time getting the clip to hold when I don't do this.

Thanks for the pic.

Now I'm off to view your fotki :)
