Baggie Method-ers

How often do you wash you hair while doing the baggie method? I have been washing twice a day since I started, but ONLY because I have been Surging simultaneously. I will probably stop Surging for a month or so after this week, but I want to continue the baggie method for at least a few more weeks and need a regimen. Every day? When the hair gets dry? TIA /images/graemlins/smile.gif!

I wash two or 3 times a week and cw on the days I don't use shampoo. I use gel on my hair when I do my ponytails and I don't want that to end up drying out my hair. If you don't use gel or any holding product, then you might not need to rinse or wash daily. If I don't use gel, I can wash/cw every other day.

I wash 1x/week. Lately I have been washing 2x/week. I don't know how long I will keep that up for. My hair seems to be liking it so I may stick with 2x/week. I moisturize it daily.

i wash my hair every two weeks, so i keep the baggie on my hair for two weeks at a time.. I wear headwraps everyday now, so i can pull this off....and my ends are healthier than ever... /images/graemlins/up.gif /images/graemlins/up.gif /images/graemlins/up.gif

Sherry,

Do you redo the baggie daily? Or do you keep it up in a bun for 2 weeks straight? How do you keep your hair moisturized? Scurl? Do you moisturize all of it? Or just the part not in the bun? I'm thinking of washing every 10 days. I want to stretch it out but I'm finding after 7 days my hair starts feeling crisp...hmmm...maybe if I use more scurl maybe that crisp feeling wouldn't happen.

I shampoo on Wed and Sat and co wash at least once somewhere in between. I do the baggie method on my bun or ponytail every night. On the nights I don't wash I dampen my ponytail with distilled water, add TIGI Ego Boost and cover with a baggie. I take the baggie off in the morning, pin up my bun and go.

Ok, thanks ladies...all your answers were so helpful/images/graemlins/up.gif. I don't know why I thought I'd have to wash so often, when I can just re-wet the hair. I have been using Sulfur8 on my ends, but Scurl does sound like a very good idea.

I do the baggie method at night only and I wash 2x week. So when I get home, I immediately put some moisturizer on my ends, or Surge and moisturizer and tie up my ponytail until I go to sleep. I never slept with the baggie, but that's a good idea. I might try that tonite. /images/graemlins/sleeping.gif

faith, I do not change the baggie for the whole two weeks...LOL .... I apply a generous amount of castor oil to the last three inches of my hair....and, i am noticing that my ends do not split as often and they are thicker and they are always soft as ever. castor oil is a wonderful emollient known for thickening hair...... /images/graemlins/up.gif /images/graemlins/up.gif

Thanks Sherry /images/graemlins/smile.gif So you don't apply scurl first and then the castor oil? I may have to try that since the scurl has been tangling my ends.

I rinse my hair everyday and redo the bun, I add my profectiv heathy ends and apply the baggie. I do this consistenly when I'm over 8 weeks post relaxer.

I rinse my hair once a week. Right now, I'm doing a deep pre-'poo overnight treatment prior to doing my conditioner wash. Then I'll seal my ends with Blue Magic Coconut Oil and gel curl activator. Going back to the baggie, and wrap my bun around with a silk scarf. I think I'm going to take on your offer using the Healthy Ends, Wildflower. Great idea! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I wash my hair 2x a week. I surge everyday and I do my baggie every night after I do my scalp massage. I use TIGI Ego Booster, Redken All Soft Ends and Profectiv's Healthy Ends. I wear my hair mostly in fake buns or phonytails.
