All my life I was always picked on about my hair. Even now I am 20 someone always has something to say. I'm not gonna lie I did have a lot of damage back in the day but talking about it all the time isn't going to make me feel better. Up to last night I think someone suggested I give my hair back to the horse. ( I have a weave) And I know when I wear my hair natural soon I'm know I'm gonna hear even more talk. I know people will always talk about you regardless but it's annoying. Has anyone here experienced this? And how do you respond to these people?

Sometimes I am astonished at how many mean people there are in the world. Learn all you can from this board, baby and nurture you hair (and yourself too), be patient and before you know it, your hair will flourish. If you hang in there and stay away from the weaves (I hate weaves too girl), I think you will be pleasantly surprised at your results. So, ignore the haters and focus on you. I've found one of the best responses to rude comments is to ask the person, "What did you just say?" This really throws people. Often they'll say never mind. If they have the nerve to repeat themselves, I would shake my head and say something like, "You must have a lot of time on your hands to be worried about my hair. Too bad you couldn't think of something nice to say." Then walk away.

How dare her!!! What's her problem??? What does your black co-worker's hair look like???
