HAIR MONITORS at work, school, etc.

So I picked my fro out today and when I got to work, one of my coworkers said, "I like your hair better when you wear it like," and then she rubbed her index finger and thumb together referring to my naps, peas, whatever. Yes, it was funny, but someone always has something to say about my hair! GOODNESS! I know I'm not the only one who has a hair monitor at work.

I remember when I was teaching, half my students were hair monitors, just waiting to clown me when I had a short bob one day & a long weave the next! I always made light of it, though & it was good-spirited.
