Back to dark brown (WHEW!) and some thoughts...

Karonica....

It's a small packet of powder that you add to the coloring mix. As far as I know, it's not something you can purchase seperately.

A booster came in the lightest blond color I initally used when I colored my hair the very first time.

Good Luck. Didn't mean to

Hey I'm flattered to have a stalker...I certainly am one (I'm ashamed at how often I look a t Hairlove and SG's and Adrienne's albums...)
laugh.gif

This was the regime fer da most part. Cept I'm a product junkie to the "ideas" stayed the same, but the products changed.

I gave up the garlic shampoo when the shedding stopped. I still use it occasionally for clarifying. I rotate in other proteins - Elasta BCS, Mermade etc...

Same with the leave in's, Moisturizing Conditioners and the rest.

But basically - yeah - that's my spiel....

Thanks

Since you put it so kindly, I have been stalking you

-From reading your threads... I am picking up the theme of having an equal balancing between moisture and protein
-Did you do anything to accelerate growth other than taking supplements?

Quick question...
Do you DRC before or after your touch ups

You know - not really...and I'm not that great about supps either. I told y'all - I'm the unhealthiest person on the planet. I drink, smoke, guzzle coffee and take supplements once every 3.5 weeks....I eat cake for breakfast and candy for dinner. ANd my hair grows PAINFULLY slowly...
laugh.gif
I'm suprised when People think it grows quickly...because it inches along at about a .25 inch a month...and I HATE IT!
laugh.gif

I just used DRC last night (I forgot how good it is) and I'm getting a touch up in about a week or two. Ordinarily, I'd wait until after, but with the recent color and the touch up coming up I decided to go for it now. Plus - the Bigen gave me a GREAT color, but I'm definitely noticing a little more breakage than I ever did with T&T. Nothing earth shattering - but I always like to fix the problem before it becomes PROBLEM.

So - I guess the answer is - generally yeah I wait until post touch up. If I've done something crazy (like I did this time again with t he color) I give it a little more protein. And yes, the balance is KEY because all of my conditioners from not until my TU will be moisture.....

I w atch my hair and I try to give it JUST what it needs at precisely the right times.....for me when I use chemicals that means protein, and I then rotate in the mositure to stave off brittleness and overhardening of the hairshaft. Add a rinse to protect and viola!

The best way to know is to follow the Karonica rule - do a strand test. then you know just about what you're getting when You do the color all over. I loved T&T Bronze. My hair was too dark to use it this time (I had done a black demi perm and I knew Bronze wouldn't lift it I did a strand test to make sure) but I'll probably use it when I touch up my color in the fall...

I love Bronze...

Good luck Tracy, you'll reace your goal! Your regimen sounds great, I'm going to follow your lead and tighten up my regimen, I've been going on routine mostly. The one thing I can't do is protective styles, you were my example for how one could not wear protective styles and have fab hair, I don't think I can get used to wearing my hair wrapped up most of the time, well maybe I'll try it a quarter of the time

HH - routine is great if it's working - but it's great to be able to tweak if you need to. Good Luck.

I use T&T Bronze, but my hair is very light now because it's been colored twice (over a matter of weeks) - I used T&T honey blonde w/o booster and didn't like the color so I waited a few weeks and then used Bronze.
