Darn PPS (Post Partum Shedding). Help!

So I have been having a TON of shedding. This much after a wash :

So, I flat ironed my hair pin straight and had my DH cut about 3-4 inches off :thud:. So I am starting all over at APL.

Does any have any tips on how to reduce the amount of hair loss?

Sorry to hear that, but I wish you healthy growing after APL! Hmm, as far as shedding/hairfall, ayurevedic oils and herbs are good for that, especially bhringraj and brahmi I believe? Also, I've heard strong black coffee and possibly tea are helpful as well-so maybe try a tea rinse? HTH

Awww taz! So sorry to hear about this setback. :bighug:

Unfortunately, I have no tips for you. I have 2 children but have never had PPS (or even heard of it until I joined LHCF).

I am a huge fan of your beautiful hair, and I know you will bounce back from this quickly.

PPS is a BEAST!!! I think I would be further along if it werent for the shedding. (I basically had no edges by the time my son was 4 months). I don't know what could help. I just let it do what it needed and now it's growing back. Your hair is still gorgeous, though.

Hi Tazi!

:sad:Not sure about PPS, but you could always introduce AE Garlic, Nutrine Garlic Cowash and Infused Garlic Oil. These all may help with your Shedding.

Also, I've started doing Black Tea Rinses for Seasonal Shedding.

Hope things get better. Your Hair is Still the bomb.com

I went through the same thing after I had my son. Hang in there, it will get better!

Even with the cut, your hair still looks great. It's nice and thick. Keep at it, you'll be back to your longer length in no time!

Never had PBS yet but I hope someone who has went through this helps you out. I need your hair to drool over (as always).

Since you're starting over, you know exactly what to do to get your hair back to health (after you get the shedding resolved).

Your hair looks great regardless. HHG

Sorry to hear about the PPS :( Maybe you can try some of the shedding remedies and see if they'll help. Your hair is still beautiful :yep:

no advice to offer, just wanted to give a big hug and say that even at apl, your hair is still a sight to behold :)

OMGoodness, thank you all so much for the e-hugs. I needed it!

I am going to try the garlic (Thanks IDareT) as I have hair falling everywhere!

(((Hugs))) your hair is still full and thick taz007. IA w/ using garlic conditioner and tea rinses.

Arrrrrghhhh! I HATE PPS! I went through this with my last pregnancy. I didn't have LHCF in my life at that time, so I just cut and went on.

Your hair still looks full and thick! It'll be back in no time!
