TRANSITION OVER! 11-22-14
I got a trim and discovered a new product line from Joico called K-Pak. It makes my hair feel like silk! Since I didn't relax my hair completely, my hair did not look relaxed until flat ironing. This product line makes my hair and scalp feel so good. :yep: I'm going to relax my hair for awhile and see if I can grow it out long and healthy. I finally updated my fotki so I can get advice from you ladies. Right now I am working on mastering roller setting to cut down on heat usage.

Well, 'bout time! I've been waiting. Glad you posted your new do! Love the haircut; your hair is so thick. Is that your natural color?

My natural color is black but relaxing makes it lighter. Also since I use ayervedic oils, my grays turn blonde.:lachen: It took me a long time to get pics because I really needed the trim. My self relax really didn't come out bone strait like I wanted, but the next relaxer will be better.:yep:

Thanks for sharing you new pics. It looks like you were having fun. The first pic of you is my favorite because it really shows off your cute haircut. And dh is nice-looking.

:lachen: Thanks, Hopeful! I'm still trying to figure out what is the best way to wear my relaxed hair. I think I've forgotten how to due to my multiple BC/ relaxed chronicles. For the first time, I am enjoying my relaxed hair. I am also learning that products make a hell of a difference with how healthy my hair looks and feels. Joico K pak has really made a difference with my hair. :yep: I will also be looking into the other line of products from Joico to see if there is also something my hair would need. My Vegas stylist also used something called Iso... I think. I'm going to be doing some research. My relaxed hair has never felt so good and my scalp. I just love it! DH paid for me to get my hair trimmed and was just happy I did not come back bald! LOL!

So your back with us relaxed heads huh? Just kidding girl....I am wishing you the best on this new part of your hair journey. I loved looking at your pics. Your hair looks nice and healthy. I am so happy that you are finding some products that are giving you nice results- I swear that really is half the battle.

I just realized that I have not been using the right products for my hair. When I shampooed/conditioned in the past, my hair just did not feel clean. In Vegas when she used the Joico products, my hair and scalp was tingling and it felt so silky and smooth. I did not know that relaxed hair could feel like this. I really love it. I have to look up a good regimen for me now.:yep:

Hey DDT, your hair looks great with the extra texture in it. I think you should keep it textured instead of going bone-straight to keep that lovely thickness, just mho. Keep up the good work and remain consistent - you will accomplish your ultimate hair goals.

Hey, DD! I thought you and I were keeping on this natural train. But, your hair looks great--keep up the good work! Who knows, I may join you before too long... :look:
