The only thing that is really making me unhappy about transitioning:ohwell:...So what have you guys done about your layers from going natural? Did you have to do another big chop or trimmed gradually....I prefer blunt or near blunt cuts..

My shrinkage takes care of it for the most part so I deal w/ it . My natural layers are not too extreme so I may keep it that way. I know that some people gradually trim so that their hair has a blunt look.

I thought I wouldn't be happy with them either, but the layers have given me a very nice shape for the length and thickness I have now after I've BC'd.

My hair is full of layers. I'm not going to Bc until i can get the majority of it all into one ponytail.

The first pic in my siggy looks like i have a haircut - nope - its actually breakage lol.

I feel that will be almost impossible as the front portion of my hair has 3 inches of new growth yet from behind my ears downwards i have 6 inches of new growth. Oh well.

I had (now that my hair has grown the layers are pretty much gone) heavy layers and I will have them again once I reach my goal in December. When wearing my hair curly, layers add definition to my hair so my hair doesn't look like a bowl!

hmmm.I do feel that layers make natural hair look pretty...Im just afraid I wont like them now becuase i hate them on my transitioning hair

Your layers will exist until your hair gets to a certain length then you can trim for a blunt look. I plan to have layers till WL then trim for a blunt look when loose.
