I just received a package in the mail yesterday with oils. My avocado oil is actually rather greenish? Any other time it's almost a clear colour.

What colour is your avocado oil?

I remember seeing a thread on this before and some said that it varies with the oils, and its still fine (If my memory serves me correctly) but yeah all mine have been a yellow/clear color

I would wonder about a straight up GREEN oil too:perplexed:

Remember with oils unrefined is better than refined ...So that u receive all of the nutrients..

Unrefined avocado oil comes dark green color...That is awesome...

Refined oils loose most of its nutrients through the refining and bleaching process

girl IDK cause the ones I got from fnwl all these years are refined and not really green, not clear, but not green

I got mine from my local BSS and it's pretty clear, maybe with a tint of green. It probably has no nutrients left, but I still use it!

I called the company i bought it from and it IS refined. Its going right back!
wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never noticed that it says 'gently' refined, durn!!!!!

well its still my love! but I gotta find and try the unrefined now :yep:

its says 'gently refined' on the organic one

for the reg one I get it says
Our avocado oil is cold pressed and refined for stable shelf life.

so does that mean the unrefined goes bad fast?

I dont know if it goes bad faster..That is a good question...I do know that cold pressed oils have more nutrients in it then refined...Cold pressed is more expensive than refined ...
