I read about this and I decided to make these two items my next hair purchases. Well today I walked by an aveda store and I got the urge to splurge so I bought them. There was also a pre-shampoo treatment but I was too broke to make that purchase ($18

). Maybe next time...

Anyone here tried these products yet? I washed and conditioned my hair with them as soon as I got home..so far so good. Not sure what improvements have been made but I will continue to use them and see what takes place.

By the way, when i first went natural I used aveda products and my hair responded to them. Then i realized that I couldn't maintain this habit on a student budget so I found other means. Washing my hair today and smelling that familiar "aveda smell" brought back good ol' memories.

I had used the shampoo for awhile. Although I thought it was great for washing out a hot oil treatment, or as a 'clarifying' shampoo, but w/o washing out something else first, I found it too drying for me. Also, the sap moss smell wasn't my favorite. That's just my opinion though...if they are working for you, thats great, you should stick with it!

I love the Sap Moss shampoo. I recently purchased the conditioner also, but haven't used it yet. I also enjoy the little earthy smell that the products have. Keep us posted on your long term results

Glad you finally splurged!

I used it years ago & I liked it. I used the shampoo & conditioner but I've never used the leave in treatment. It leaves your hair feeling moist with no oil.

Aveda has travel sizes. So you can try a new product without breaking the bank. In every Aveda store I have ever been in carry their samples on a spin rack by the register.

I saw the trial sizes for $3.50 but with my head of hair, I would need about 2 shampoos and maybe 3 conditioner. With that price, I decided to just buy the regular size. They do have the huge jugs for $42 for the conditioner and maybe $62 for the shampoo.

I have soo much hair products at home, I am really trying to use everything out and start anew. I rather stick with one brand and use that because in reality sometimes you have to use a particular line/product for 2-3 months to notice any substantial change. If you keep switching products every 3 weeks, that might not be enough time for you hair to react to it.

It's just like taking hair pills, you need a 2-3 "give or take" period.

Peachi -- A former roommate introduced me to the Aveda line and the Sap Moss Shampoo was one of the main reasons I got hooked. The shampoo does its job without drying out your hair.

However, I totally understand what you mean about their prices on a student budget (!) As afashionslave suggested, you could try the trial sizes before you commit to the regular size products -- If you don't see the one you want on the rack, ask the salesperson because sometimes they store them out of sight for space reasons. And whenever you find products you love, stretch them out as best as you can..

I just bought a trial sized Sap Moss Conditioning Detangler but I am still undecided on if I like it.. PM me if you would like to know what else I have tried from this line

Hi I recently tried Sap Moss and I like it. It cleans and leaves the hair smooth.

My cousin, Gina uses the Sap Moss conditioner and she LOVES It!

I tried these. My hair liked them at first and then about the fourth use my hair started protesting so I quit using them but I like Aveda products they just aren't in my budget these days.
