Hi Felicia,

ACV (not AVC

) stands for Apple Cider Vinegar. There are a lot of uses, but most people use it either to clarify or as a final rinse. It must be diluted with water before you use it. If you search, you should find a lot more info. HTH

Hey Felicia,

I use 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in 32 ounces of water. I use it after I shampoo, and then I use my conditioner. Hope this helps.

I wasn't too sure if it was avc or acv lol. thanks for the help ladies.
kedra, you do it every wash?

I use an acv rinse sometimes and it gives my hair a great slip. I sometimes use it after I shampoo, then apply my conditioner. Other times, I have used it as a final rinse after conditioner. Either way, my hair always felt great afterwards. I would say that I do them about twice per month. Now that I have been in braids, I do acv rinses about week... well, I try.

Specify that you wanna search over the last 3 years. The default is 1 week.

Ex: +acv +rinse

@ Felicia: the Search function is working well. You have to change the display on the date range to get more search results. It's set to search within the last week (ie Newer than 1 week) by default. So once you change that, you will get more results.

I used the following criteria and got lots of results:

Search for ACV

- in subject
- newer than 1 year

I accepted all other defaults. Try that.

According to what I've read, apple cider vinegar is better for dark hair while the white vinegar is better for blonde hair. I suspect the hair color is enhanced by the vinegar recommended for it.
