Heya Ladies

I've been reading up on the AO products and I purchased the Jojona & Aloe Desert Herb Revitalizing Conditioner today.

I'm trying to find products that work well but cost less than Aveda which just really isn't in my budget right now. :nono:

I know the Honey Suckle Rose condition is popular , and The Jojoba is a very similiar (incredient are listed on AO's website) but has milk protien. I'll post a review tonight.

Meanwhile, please share which AO products you love/hate and most importantly WHY!

AO's site is http://www.aubrey-organics.com/ and macherieamours critique of the Honeysuckle Rose can be found at http://healthytextures.typepad.com/my_journey_to_healthy_hai/2007/08/product-honeysu.html#more

I love:
GPB con: light protein, strengthens, detangles

Honeysuckle Rose con: deep moisturizer & smells great

White Camelia con: moisturizes

I love all of their conditioners. However my favs are: GPB, Honeysuckle Rose & JAY desert. I've tried the honeysuckle rose poo and jay desert poo and my hair did not like either.

I have only tried the GPB and the Honeysuckle Rose. I LOVE GPB!!! It has nice slip, and my hair ends up smooth, strong, and silky. The Honeysuckle Rose did not impress me one bit. I use it three times and nothing. I just have it sitting on the shelf. I do plan on trying the Camellia and the Island Naturals in the future.

I ordered the Desert and the Island conditioners with HIGH hopes. Well, when I got them, i pre poo'ed with the Desert conditioner, and it made my hair really hard. I decided to give it another try as a dc. Stll hard hair. I tried it as a pre poo and dc on my dd who is natural, I thought maybe it would be better on natural hair than relaxed. Nope. Her hair was hard too. To make a long story short, the same thing happened with the Island conditioner, for me and my dd. I threw it away. I'll never buy another AO product. I'm glad they work fo everyone else. I WOULD be the one person they don't work for....

I love the Aubrey Organics line because it contributes to me achieving my objectives. :yep:
The only thing I'm not too fond of is...the scent of the 'Sea Buckthorn Leave-In Liquid Conditioner & Curl Activator'. (Perhaps, I could mix another AO product in with it, hmm).

White Camelilia isn't my favorite- I don't like the smell very much.

I love Honeysuckle rose
and GPB

I am going to try out the Island spice soon

I LOVE AUBREY ORGANICS

Honeysuckle and Rose: This is a really nice moisturizing conditioner. It really helps soften my hair especially the new growth.

Camellia: this is a little more heavy duty than the honeysuckle and rose. I like smell, really intense and flowery. I notice the Camellia leaves my hair smoother and I really like this a post protein conditioner

Island Spice: The only way I use this is by pre-poo or post protein. I WON'T do a heavy duty protein treatment unless I have this in the bathroom. I used this after an aphogee treatment and my hair was buttery soft. This really helps with frizz too so when I hit the 6 week mark, this one comes out to play

GPB: This protien conditioner is really versatile because you can leave it on for just a couple of minutes or add heat and sit for atleast 20 minutes and get a little more action in. It also makes a great pre-poo. It is very gentle but very effective. It also helps restore some elasticity. I like to use this more when I have been using more heat than I usually do.

I love Aubrey products as well. They are my absolute favorites. They're not cheapies, but definitely worth every dollar spent. I love them because of the use of all natural, quality ingredients & natural preservatives. I love their whole philosophy. Truly THE standard when it comes to all natural products. That said :lachen: my favorites are:

Rosa Mosqueta Nourishing Conditioner
GPB Glycogen Protein Balancing Conditioner
White Camellia Ultra-Smoothing Conditioner

:yep::yep: Money well spent.

I agree that I have no problems spending money on Aubrey Organics. I am truly impressed with their products. Honeysuckle Rose (shampoo and conditioner) and GPB (protein conditioner) are my favorites. I even like their Aloe Essence Clarifying Shampoo. I am sad that it is discontinued though. :( A few months ago I stocked up on it and recently found two more bottles.

Have you seen their new stuff?

Great thread.

I was just thinking of trying one of their conditioners to help me. I seriously under-processed my hair with my last relaxer and none of my conditioners are really giving me what I want to get through this.

I have a coupon for my local heath food store for $5 off a $25 purchase, so I thought I would use it on some AO products.

I just back from the store. Man LHCF'ers have buying power!!

When I got there, the 1st thing I saw was the big empty space where the Honeysuckle Rose conditioner USED to be. :look:

There were 2 bottles of the Aubrey Organics White Camellia Conditioner and I got that those - so now they are out of those, too.

They did have several bottles of Island Naturals Replenishing Conditioner, but I did not like the way that one smelled so much.

I am going to try the White Camellia Conditioner on monday.

The AO Swimmers conditioner is really good. I used this for two weeks due my son's swim class. Good for strength and moisture.
