BUY IT??? Girl, you can add garlic to your own poo yourself. I just cut up a clove, add some distilled water and nuke in microwave for about 30 seconds and apply to hair(for DC) or add to product(leave in). That might be kind of old school, but it works.

ETA~ I use about 3 or 4 tablespoons of water. Covering the container slightly helps retain the moisture which is rich with the garlic as well.

Hey, Natural, if I do this with my dc, will my hair still smell like garlic? If so, what could I use to diffuse the smell?

TIA

Oh the smell. Girl I know. Essential oils are really good at diffusing odors. I use thyme to cut it. Yes, thyme, it's a stong one but mixed with garlic it sort of mellows surprisingly. Just a drop though. I'm going to experiment with adding parsley to the mixture to see if it helps. Parsley is good at getting if off of your breath so I wonder....

ETA~ Don't nuke the garlic for too long, you could kill it. Just heat it enough to sort of get it going. If you're afraid of over nuking, do it for 15 seconds and leave covered.

I was wondering about this, but was afraid to do it because of the smell I will be trying this come wash day. Thanks!

Is there anything else I could use in the meantime...I have yet to order the thyme/parsley oils.

Also, if I nuke it for 15 seconds, will the smell be any less. :lachen:

TIA

Hey ladies I take garlic supplements, and add garlic oil (iherb.com) to my leave in's, and condishes, and I do scalp massages with it.. So, yes its pretty stinky around here!!! I dont add anything because I dont want to mess with the potency... I have gotten used to the smell and have warned family!!

The smell is the same no matter how long you nuke it. I used a teaspoon of ACV in about 1/2 gallon of water and just poured it over my head without rinsing. I didn't smell the garlic afterwards...

Girl I had the same problem. I contacted some ladies here and they gave me this website. www.bluebeez.com I purchased Nutrine Garlic Shampoo and Garlic Hot Oil treatment. Both were just $5.99 each. I have been using it about a month because I had so much shedding. I have noticed a significant difference in shedding. It wasn't overnite though. I use it twice a week plus a good conditioner. You will need a good conditioner because it can be a little drying. Hope this helps.

Ok, I'll try it with ACV; but I'll rinse that out though. :lachen:

Oh, that Nurtine messed me up for a long time. My hair was drier than a dessert. I'll NEVER use that again. Thanks for the suggestion though.
