Attaching a phony pony

Ok, I know this might seem simple, but whenever I try to attach it it seems so fake . How can I attach it and be able to put a scrunchie around it so it looks kinda real. I keep buying these things not wearing them becausew I do not like how they look. HELP!!

Girl this sounds like me. I bought a human hair pony tail awhile back. I cut a weft of hair from it because I can't stand that phony look. I would pin the weft to my own pony tail and then wrap it around with a scrunchie. This worked for about 4 months but then the bobby pins started irritating my scalp. So I just decided to pull my own hair back in a scrunchie. It does not have the fullness I had with the phony, but my scalp does not hurt anymore. My main goal for wearing a phony to begin with was to cover the baggie. So now I just baggie over night. The next morning my ends are nice and moist. NO MORE PHONY PONIES for me!

I usually wrap some hair around the pony one i get it in...check my fotki under ponytail...there is a pic of a couple of examples..HTH
