I have to admit I did see like 1 person that showed proof. I understand people may not want to waste film, or whatever but I hear about all this growth but I just wish I could see some proof. I am not calling anyone a liar but geesh. Maybe its just me erplexed

I too agree with the statement in bold. I was reading the MTG recipe thread & I noticed that people are mixing other things that may aid in growth to their MTG.

I just got mine yesterday and I used the odiforiuos stuff last night. I will post pictures of progress. I agree that I haven't really seen any of the 1 inch and greater a month but hopefully that will be my head.

I've been using MTG since 9/22. I got my hair in cornrows on 9/17. I have so much new growth in that short period of time. I don't know if it is 1/2" or 1".

I purposely haven't said anything about the MTG because I want to see how my hair looks once I take it down which will be on 10/29. Even though it really needs to come out now, I'm trying to stretch it till 6 weeks. I made myself this inches t-shirt from an old t-shirt that I don't wear. I marked the length of my hair on my t-shirt, and then used a tape measure and made markings (1/4", 1/2" 3/4" 1", etc.) all the way down the length of the t-shirt.
When I take my braids down, I will put on t-shirt and determine how much my hair has really grown.

There are alot of "regular and consistent" posters on this forum and I value their opinion. Ones like Londondiva (see her growth) and Mahaliaee4 are the ones that motivated me to buy the product. I was totally shocked by the before and after pictures of Naijaqueen, take a look at her album. I'm not looking for a miracle product because I know there is no such thing, but if I can keep my scalp healthy it contributes to hair growth. So far I am very pleased with this product and I will continue to use it. When I take my braids down, I will let everyone know the results.

i do understand what you are saying im a truly a product junkie and would like to narrow my products down more on what i can use and consistently use...and really being on LHCF has its good(finding good regimens for my braids and hair care) and bads(buying too many products) for me..because of me being a product junkie everytime someone mentions something that i think will make my hair grow a little faster i get it...but im starting to slow down...this product is being mixed with alot of growth aids...and even i have mixed mine with surge and other products and growth aid products..so we really dont know if its just the product by itself that is making people gain that extra length because they are adding to it...i do understand your concern..and i was debating on rather i wanted to reorder another trial size bottle of this..because it has a strong smell of sulfur 8(and sulfur 8 has been around so long that even my mom use to use it on my hair way before the chemicals came along) that i was just thinking about just using sulfur 8 or going back to what i know definetly worked for which was the ORS fertilizer balm..and finish out the other products(Lenzis request, Minoval, Surge)...and everything is not meant to work on everyones hair...

I started using MTG on 9/24 and I took 'before' pictures on that day. I will be posting results in my Fotki album on 10/24. I have made 2 minor changes to my usual regimine (co-wash every 2 days instead of every day and I use Curly Pudding to mask the smell) so if there is growth in excess of my normal 1/2 inch per month it can only be attributed to MTG.

To tell the truth, I had not planned on ever trying MTG, but my friend who is a lurker on this board bought a bottle and sent me half of it so we're trying it out together. I'll be posting her results in my folder as well.

It's working for me. I've had alot of growth and I don't use anything else to speed growth. I don't have pics because

1. I don't have a digital camera and if I did I wouldnt know what to do to post but I'll figure it out once I get one. I have other things more important in my life like 12daily dangit! I can only be obsessed with 1 thing at a time It's not a priority so I'm not stressed about getting a camera and doing it. I dont have anything to prove to anyone or any reason to lie. I don't make the stuff or get any profit from it. Also, I don't straighten my hair often, maybe 3 - 4 times a year and you can't really the growth unless it's straightened. Even texturized I still have tons of shrinkage. I'm really trying to avoid heat so I'm not going to straighten my hair until I'm ready just for the sake of posting pictures. Plus I like to surprise myself when I straighten! The difference is much more noticeable by seeing my hair straight every 3 months rather than seeing it every month.

2. I don't have any starting pics so there's nothing to compare it to. People would still say whatever because they aren't comparison shots. But people who know me and know what my hair looked like 2,3,5 months ago definately see the growth! I plan to do a retouch and straighten the next time in December for my b-day. I put my bid in for a DC so hopefully by xmas I'll have an album.

Oh yeah and I haven't reached my goal yet. But I'm halfway there. Even with mtg it will take at least another year to reach my goal.

Thickness comes first for me, I've been using it for about 2 weeks and my hair hasn't really gotten any longer, it's just thicker. But Naijaqueen has pics too. And as someone said before it also depends on where people started before. I'm sure you'll hear about more people hitting their goals in about 5 months.

The visual is better than words. I mean people besides Carmelty, that really impressed me along with Naijaqueen, and Londondiva. Like I mentioned earlier I am not talking about anyone that just started to use the product.

I'm actually tracking my progress with the MTG. Each week I take new pics tracking the growth. At the end of one month, which will be in 2 weeks I will update my fotki album and show my MTG progess, then those viewing my album will decide for themselves if it worth it or not...

.Before starting Mtg i did many cuts and wore my hair short for many years or weaves if i wanted long even natural, then colored blond caramel short, put back black then texturized black and then cut again and never left it natural because the natural hair was so hard i thought thats how my hair would be. I used to be permed first transitioned for 6 months and experienced a lot of scab hair the hair was so harsh,dry i could not do nothing with it like a brillo pad. i hated it i shaved it bold with a clipper as in my last pix that is in my fotki and waited to grow 3inch and braid cut one inch of remaining scab hair. Then put new braids in and i started MTG with 2 inches of natural hair and so far i m more than satisfied and i m adamant i will reach my hair goal in one year instead of 3 or 4. I found the perfect regimen that can garantee me at leat 1inch per month usually 1.5 inch combining diet (lot of garlic,veggies,fruits,eggs), keeping my hair moisturized with 2 cond washes per week (curly girl technique no poo), my vitamin regimen and MTG everyday, hair plaited at night satin bonnet. Everything combined i can reach my goal. i just started this summer june 24 and give myself till december 2006 to if not waistlength at least bottom bra strap and i be so happy starting from nothing . i bougth a camera and documented my Mtg journey and will do so and post pix in december/january for end of year but im glad i will just need a year max so only protected styles for 1 year. i dont want to waste the film yet i still have 14 pix to take will take some pix in november and some in december if i finished the film before that i will post everything very soon now i dont know if mtg works that good by itself cause i do all the things i said and for me everything plays a part in my growth and retention soft hair, that i can comb dry , less to no shedding it boils down to finding your own regimen and remembering that what matters the most is that you not only are what you eat but once you start taking care of your hair and your whole body it thanks you back i just applied everything this board taught me meaning mtg, frequent washing (vo5 cond washes twice a week), vitamin regimen, healthy diet, scalp massages , plaits and bonnet satin at night, lot of sulfur, lot of msm, sweating= a minimum of 1inch per month if you look at it its 12 inch per year. of course i will cut dead or split ends when i reached my journey. i just discovered mtg this summer so i m like lets see but it looks good so far

According to a poll started on 9/3/05 for the most growth from MTG more than 20 people reported increased growth of 1-3inches. In a few months they should have accumulated significant length.
I have MTG but I dont use it often. I gave up after a month. Still thinking of incorporating it into my regime.

i know i only used it 2 months so far and restarted using it oct 8. i just reordered. a bottle can only last me two months i use it everyday. on the poll i reported 3inches i gain 1.5 inch month of the 2. started with 2 inches i now have 6 inches as of today except the front that is shorter the back and sides grow faster than the hairline i dont know why

I fully relaxed on Aug. 5th. I currently have about 2 inches of new growth. I can not even comb my hair or get it to lay flat with gel or pomade. This amt of growth is not normal for me. I have purchased two trial bottles. The first bottle was when I was either natural or tex. so I could not tell the amount very easily.

I do not have before pics because I forgot to take close ups. I want to relax the end of this month but I will try to hold out until next month. Like someone said in another thread, the picture of the horse's mane convinced me. So I do not really need to see before & after pics of others (would be an extra treat). What works for some may not for others. I was willing to try & it worked. I am ordering a BIG bottle within the next few weeks.

Only thing I hate is that I only have that much new growth in the middle & back of my hair. The very top & sides of my hair did not grow as much.

I think it would be fair to say that everyone who has tried it: 1. started out first as a skeptic, but was willing to take the chance for themselves. Yes, they jumped on the bandwagon so to speak because of the reports they received at this and other sites. Not everyone posted pictures of proof but based on the integrity of the posters to date, they decided to take the chance. 2. They chose to be consistent or just occasional dabbers with the product. (If you are going to go with stinky stuff...do it for real and consistently or all that stink is for nothing!) 3. If a person is too hesitant to try it until someone else proves something to them beyond any shadow of a doubt, then you miss out on a lot because if someone had not posted about this product, we would all be in the dark about it's potential( unless you had other resources of finding this out). 4. I think each person owes it to themselves to check it out...to be consistent and to prove or disprove it to themselves and then say at the end of 6 months to a year...this is what it did for ME!!!!!! Now that I know it is working for ME, that is what motivates me to keep using it...even if it is not working for one or two other people. Maybe there are other factors that are holding them back...their regime, method and condition of their scalp. totally clogged follicles....lack of moisture...styling methods etc. etc. If some say they got NO GROWTH AT ALL. and I am getting mine...I will keep using it. The regime that I use along with the MTG is working.

I'm thinking the same thing, that's one of the reasons when I got my FREE half bottle, I was pretty adament about being able to document whether I got growth in excess of my normal regimen.

If I get more than my normal 1/2 inch when I measure on 10/24, I will give MTG a Neigh of approval with a link to my pictures. If not, my new sig line will be MTG: DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!! with a link to my pictures.
