Should APL be measured with arms up or arms down?

I thought the arms up thing was to prove that the hair had actually reached AP length. ????? :spinning:
Why would that prove anything?:blush: It doesn't really, it gives a false positive so to speak. Put a towel RIGHT under your arms all the way around. That's APL.
Keep one arm down, one arm raised up and if you can, look where your armpit falls with the raised arm. Much higher than the towel line that IS APL, right? If I hike up my bra strap to reach up to where my hair is, or lean my head back to reach down to my brastrap/Armpit, that doesn't make me reach my goal. Lol.
