OK, now tell us again what happened. Why do you think it's not looking good? Inch growth in how long? What's your hair not doing? Edges filling in...what are you doing so far?

Sounds like me 6 to 8 weeks post touchup. Congrats on the new growth. If your problems are just aesthetic (styles don't look as good), you should just do wet buns and tough it out. Use a nice leave in (like Biolage leave-in tonic, my new best friend) to help you with combouts in the shower. Slick it back with a thick serum like Razac's or a pastey leave in like LUST.

If your new growth's causing breakage, you should touchup. (Somehow, you don't strike me as the type of gal to buy $1639 worth of products to make your new growth cooperate.)

My edges that were stressed by braids are NOT getting thick either. The damage is near the temples. I'm considering Nioxin Follicle Booster, and I'm taking more MSM and protein daily.

ok, sorry so vague before.

basically, i think i'm having a case of trying to make my hair do something it doesn't want to do. the problem is that i actually think it can do such things because i have two different textures; so while one texture may act "right" another may not.

so, i'm just gonna charge it to the game, if you will, and do a retouch tonight.

i think this started because

1) it took me forever to try and blowdry my hair. it was already 2hours and i wasn't even finished, so i just rewashed my hair

2) i tried my flattwist method (that i've been using all this month) and it wasn't doing what i was used to...PLUS...i think they're pulling at my hairline too much

3) i'm just alltogether tired of being obsessed w/ my hair
(that's gonna be another thread)

k.

The next time you get braids try not to have them braided so
tightly and I would suggest using profectiv anti-thinning
cream ,castor oil or nioxin follicle booster for your edges.
Scalp masagges help too.
