Hello Everyone! Aretha Franklin is hosting a free
Gospel Concert and dinner on August 25, 2013 at New Bethel Baptist Church. The address is 8430 C.L. Franklin Blvd. and the dinner starts at 5 pm with the concert starting at 6pm.The event is billed as " The Battle at New Bethel ( Come and Get Your Blessing). Headline singers are The Clark Sisters, Shirley Caesar, J.J. Hairston, Youthful Praise and Tanya Blount. Other acts will be announced soon. The buffet which features some of Miss Franklin's favorite recipes include ReeRee's Hot Water Cornbread, baked chicken and dressing, black-eyed peas with okra, spaghetti and meatballs, gumbo, fried fish, mac and cheese, Aretha's Oxtail Soup, homemade ice cream, peach cobbler, and banana pudding. Miss Franklin is recovering from a recent illness but wants to bless her community and supporters. I would love to see some of my LHCF sisters there. I hope you guys can make it.
