Plopping is new to me. Just tried it tonite with a tshirt while I prepared and ate dinner.

What are your preferred Plopping tools? Next weekend I plan on getting the microfiber turbie twist and / or the Deva towel.

I think the tshirt is not as absorbent as a microfiber. I still needed to use the blowdryer on my hair this morning.

I do it and didn't know it had a name, not sure I get why it's called plopping though? I use a microfiber twistie turbie.

I plopped last week. I used a turbie twist, and my hair was soaking wet after 4 hrs. I'm going to try the deva towel next. Despite the wet curls, my curls were still defined. I'm getting the Deva towel soon because it's more absorbent.

I did it last week and then again last night with a tee shirt. I left the shirt on for about 45 minutes then dried with the diffuser attachment. I actually wore my hair out of the house today, loose, for the first time ever in a wash n go situation. Last week I put it up in a puff after plopping.

I hate the way my hair feels right now because I only co-washed and added a bunch of products after. My hair looks dull and my scalp is a little itchy, so I'm gonna wash it again tomorrow. Overall I'm happy with plopping but I still want to experiment with different techniques and products for maximum clumpability.

I do it. I have found that the towel used makes a difference. T-shirts are not as great as microfiber easy for me. I also realized that there are two types of turbine twiste. One is thicker.

My favorites are the Threshold version of the turbie twistie, which I got on clearance at Target. My hair was noticeably drier in 20 mins. My next favorite is the Bon Bon Cheveaux sweatshirt like turbie twistie. I haven't tried the Deva towel because I'm afraid it might be a waste of money.

I'm sold on this for twist / braid outs. My hair was dry this morning. I plopped for 30 minutes. I want to plop for an hour and the go under the dryer for an hour.

I usually have to spot dry my hair with the blow dryer on Monday mornings.
