Are there more single men or women in your region?

I got this map off city-data and thought to ask here...

I'm shocked out here it's pretty much more single men, but it doesn't feel that way at all

I'm in DC area. Definitely more single women by leaps and bounds.

I am planning to move to Cali, Texas, Florida, or Denver in the next year or two.

I'm from Cali too and it didn't feel that way to me either.
Now here in Florida it seems to be more single men than women.

You two say it doesn't feel that way but is it because of what you are looking for...do you date interracially?

Below is the 2010 Census demographic for Cali. It is majority White and Hispanic/Latino out there.

I figure if I move there, I should expect to have mostly non-black friends and probably marry a non-black man...just based on numbers.

I knew there were a lot of men out here in TX, and to think I'm about to move to a state flooded with women. Tsk tsk...

I'm going to need to them to include sexual orientation, age, and education/career stats of these places with more single men. :look:

:yep::yep::yep: I've lived here all of my life (except one year in Baltimore) and there aren't many black men at all. :nono:

Although my region is supposed to have more men than women, (I'm in Northern California) it sure doesn't seem that way.:nono: But I'm a grad student, and there's more women in school these days than men so I think that's why.
