Are there any naturals that press or flat iron their hair regularly and have NEVER suffered from heat damage? If so please tell us your secret.
I haven't suffered from heat damage. Secret? There isn't a secret imo. Like some of the ladies posted, it's all about moisture. I always tell people that my hair gets most of it's moisture from deep conditioning. Are there any naturals that press or flat iron their hair regularly and have NEVER suffered from heat damage? MOISTURE MOISTURE MOISTURE!!! Can't say it enough. protein every now and again for me anyway. Also make sure that you use tools that have heat settings I am about to change to some of those tools. I also use Silicone Shine Serum for blow dry and flat iron I like it because you can still snap your fingers when you put it on your hands, which lets me know it is not greasy at all. I love it it smells like cherries too.
I did not suffer from any heat damage until I let someone blow dry my hair using a round brush.
That stuff is $25 an ounce????
I keep my moisture levels up..Dc on the regular..Always use heat protectent..
