Insha Allah sisters I just wanted to give you ladies the salaams and to ask how do you deal w/your hair on day to day basis knowing that we make wudu's and ghusul's? how do you keep moisture in your hair? and how do you maintain certain styles?

wa alaikum us salaam.

Use Whuudu and Ghusl to your advantage. Whudu is a great time to fit in some extra moisture, just make sure to tie with a silk scarf right after you're done to maintain a straight style.

Ghusl is my time to DC or shampoo depending on how often I have to do it. If I dont have time (like around Fajr time) I rinse my hair with water and use a moisturizer after I towel dry. I wear my hair in buns often.

For the non Muslims: Whudu is a ritual washing before prayer which involves wiping over the head with wet hands. Ghusl is a total bath from head to toe after menses and other major impurities.

walaikum salaam wah rahmutullah

i have had the driest hair that i think i have ever had from not taking advantage of the wudu ghusul/ having natural hair and having to detangle evey time i made ghusul. or i would have big clumps of tangled hair when finally it did dry. i am slowly but surely getting on top of that now. i find that vegatable glycerine desolved in water along with some other creams and oils help a great deal at keeping my hair moisterized and tangle free. i am always open to something better if its out there, so if any ladies can suggest some other things. im all eyez!

What she said!
Doing wudhu is great lets you add extra water to your hair five times a day...and if you wanted you could apply a lil oil after to seal it in.

Uzz

masha Allah(as God wished) after wudu I always put a moisturizer on first and then seal it w/my ESO mix and as far as Ghusul's I use that as well for my co washes :yep::yep: and I usually just wear a bun protective style, but thanks for the responses.

I'm not Muslim, but Halimah I just wanted to say that I visited Egypt last summer and I absolutely loved it!:drunk::love:

I went to one huge mall there in Cairo. It was like 7 stories tall! When I was in Alexandria, I went to a mall there too and it was no joke either! We sat in the Starbucks next to the mall and people watched. It was across the street from the ocean and was sooooo nice to sit there and take it all in.
