i want to get my hair back on track from a protein overload and relaxer misuse.
i've tried doing things myself and it still breaks off a little.
when she first relaxed it i had no breakage. now, a week later i am breaking.
i had to do a MBL chop to shoulder length.

this time around i want NO setbacks. i will do dusting and trimming because i love how full it is.

she only charges six dollars for it. so do you think it will be a professional one.
are these conditioners that they carry more potent and powerful than over the counter?

If you go to a salon and your hair feels great you could just ask which condish they used. And buy it yourself

I'm sorry you had to cut. Do you know what relaxer she used?

I never really had much luck with salon brands but then I never really gave them much of a chance anyway. Salon brands are suppose to be good, because they are supposed to work, but when I used to go to the Dominicans they would use cheap stuff. They started off using good stuff, but once the bottles were done, they'd recycle them as use cheaper products. So it depends on what salon your going to and if they are actually using those products.

You can ask them and start from there.

i feel bad for asking what conditioner she uses. but i do have the right to know.

IDK if the conditioners are more powerful/potent but my hair stylist uses products from Enjoy, Moroccan Oil and Elucence Brands. My hair always looks and feels good after and remains that way for a while. I don't know if it's the products, the techniques the steaming or a combination of all 3. If it's only $6, you wouldnt lose much for trying though.

In my experience I feel as if my hair is better conditioned upon using more quality products. It doesn't have to be salon products per se, but I've yet to buy a dc from a drug store or let's say target that I was impressed with. All my holy grail dc come from online. Also imo it shouldn't matter what your method of dc is : heat or no heat , heating cap, hood dryer, or just body heat. A good dc works any way. The addition of heat is just a plus not required.
