Are \"herbal boosters\" necessary?

Is there anything cheaper than $20 per month that I can take to substitute for the Hair Formula 37 Herbal Booster or Hairtopia Herbal Plus? Is this "herbal" step even necessary? These are the ingredients:

HF 37 Herbal Booster

In a base of : Nettle, Rosemary, Burdock, Birch, Rose Hips, Irish Moss, Coltsfoot, Dandelion, Yellow Dock, Elder Flowers and Shave Grass.
Horsetail (Mu Zei) 50mg
FoTi 50mg
Vitamin A 2000IU
Vitamin B-12 20mcg
Pantothenic Acid 20mg
Folic Acid 200mcg
Biotin 100mcg

Herbal Mix of: Oat Straw, Green Tea, Comfrey, Alfalfa, Nettle Leaf, Sage, Kelp, Tumeric, Horsetail Extract, Fo-Ti Root, Rosemary Leaf, Burdock Root, Birch Bark, Rose Hips, Irish Moss, Dandellion Root, Yellow Dock Root and Elder Berry.

Calcium - 50 mg
Choline Bitartrate - 40 mg
Copper - 4 mg

Here is a link about a discussion here on cheap Herbal Boosters. Hairtopia apparently had it on sale for $8, and there was supposedly a better substitute with more ingredients for $7. Look especially under Enyaa's posts. HTH /images/graemlins/smile.gif
