Are Hair Flowers only for Summer?

I go to places like H&M and Forever 21 and purchase hair clips. They have cute big clips like butterflies or enameled bird hair pins I also wear alot of embellished headbands

Flowers are such cute accessories for buns. You can get them at your local dollar store they come in a variety of colors and styles. Hair beads and hair sticks also work well for spicing up buns and other updo’s.

Maybe you could go with something dark and metallic for the cooler months? A smaller size also helps.

I was wondering this same thing myself. I think if you wear hair flowers in the winter you will stand out (in a good way). So I say do it.

There are always Metallic Ones, Velvet Ones, Rhinestone Ones, Feathered Ones in blacks, burgandy's, bronze, rusts, chocolates, etc... which are all very Fall/Winter and Extremely Festive.

I make my own pins and have been wearing flowers in my hair for the last five years, however, come winter and mid-fall they go in favor of metal, feathers and beaded trinkets. I start small for spring, get big for summer and taper off again so I feel "appropriately adorned" for the season. JMHO.

I only ever make my own. I go to Micheal's and buy the fake flowers I want to rock and then attach them via bobby pin or clip.

i just stick to darker colors if i choose to rock a flower in the winter.
but nowadays, i'm all about the feathers.

Do you use glue to attach?

No I just tuck the flower(s) in to where ever I want them and use a bobby pin or a tiny claw clip to hold them in place. I don't permanently attach them to a barrette because I want maximum flexibility.

I'm a seasonal person (already decorated for fall). For fall I'd wear a sunflower and/or berries with fall toned leaves. You can be bold and get some faux gourds In winter, I'd do feathers and/or sparkly berries, or poinsettias. Then in spring start with bright flowers all over again.

I was in A.C. Moore today and you all gave me the idea to makes some with faux leaves or acorns. Hmm, got me thinkin'.
