Are Elasta QP being shady?

All other companies have the ingredients listed on their lye relaxer tubs, but not Elasta QP. Even on the professional, salon size tubs, there are no ingredients listed. I have searched every corner of the internet, and still nothing. I found the no-lye relaxer ingredients but that's no good as I don't use no-lye.

So I have sent numerous emails asking about the ingredients in their Mild Lye Relaxer (no base) and have received no response. I finally phoned them today, and the lady on the phone was being weird. She put me through to some random line where I was asked by a machine to leave my name, contact details and product enquiry.

I dialled back to speak to someone else and somehow, it went straight through to that random message service again.

Why won't they just tell us what's in the damn relaxer already? What's the big secret? Is it just me or is this a tad suspicious?

If anyone knows what the ingredients are in their mild lye no base formula or where to find them, I would be grateful.

TIA

If this product is sold in the US I think they're supposed to have the ingredients stated somewhere on the container. If they can't do that I wouldn't buy their products anymore. They sound shady to me.

That's what I thought. I am almost 100% sure they are sold in US also because I have heard ladies on this board who use it. I have also seen the product listed on multiple US websites but they refuse to publish their ingredients. I'm not sure why...

This product is crap ! left my hair underprocessed. I've been relaxing for years and even with soothing I never had underprocessed hair. I mean my new growth was still there. I should have suspected something wasn't right after I rinsed and neutralized and my hair felt like steel wool. I had to load up on leave-ins to get some kind of softness. terrible products I do not recommend using.:wallbash:

Sorry to hear about your bad experience I have used a bunch of their products for years and have had no issues! You had me worried there with underprocessing though because I have been using their regular lye for years and wondered if maybe they made the formula weaker with their recent addition of all these oils to the rest of the line. The reason I was looking for ingredients was to help me decide whether to move down to mild cos i wanna start self relaxing and my hair processes so quick! Just went and did a strand test and the mild worked in about 15 - 20 minutes so I think i will still use it. I just hate that they are being shady...:wallbash:
