Big Hit:

-Hot Oil treatments for thick unruly new growth and stretching relaxers.
-Amla tea rinses mixed with brahmi and kalpi tone powders - again my new growth just loves this:yep:.

Miss:

Keracare Humecto - urghh, my hair really does not behave well anymore when I use this conditioner.

I can't think of anything else at the moment...

HIT:

Deep conditioning and henna treatments LESS often. I think my hair prefers simpler care.

My hair was getting over conditioned by deep conditioning so much and for so long each time and then moisturiizing with Qhemet's stuff every day all day. Then Henna treatments last a while. Every other week is a waste of the henna.

MISS:

Castille Soap. Any kind. I have tried several kinds and they make my hair and skin feel coated. ew.

Shampooing with a mixture of liquid castile soap, jojoba oil, and water -- leaves soft, clean hair
Mill Creek Jojoba Conditioner Balancing formula -- smells great, nice protein treatment for protein sensitive hair.

Misses:
Dr bronners shikaikai rinse -- left me with a dry, tangled mess

I'm going to try a true hot oil treatment this week. I've done an oil rinse, applying oil then rinsing under warm water. But I'm thinking a true hot oil treatment would work wonders.......

As you see in my siggy...I'm thinking about and researching Ayurvedic prodcuts......So thanks for the comment about the amla tea, brami and kalpi.....I may try this when/if I get the confidence up to try the powders.

Jazma wash 'N Wear Texturixer:
Expensive YES! Worth it YES! This allows for a MUCH easier transition out of relaxer!

MISS:
I used this as a deep conditioner and it left my hair SO DULL! Too expensive to throw out or give away...I will just use this for cowashing and stick to the WEN Almond mint which does a much better job moisturizing my hair.

Hit- Castor oil and V05 Free me freesia to detangle. It made detangling effortless.

Miss- Elucence mbc as a leave in. But it works great as a dc. I wonder why that is oh well.

Humectress as a leave in (left my hair so soft)
dcing with humectress overnight
oil rinse- made detangling so easy
trader joes tea tree tingle conditioner- smells really good

Misses
ors pack; leaves my hair so tangled and gross with lots of build up after

Revisted Hit:

MSM Crystals. I found my some jars of this in my cupboard. I don't know why I stopped taking it, or why I decided to start again. But I have been doing it for about 3 weeks and I just started noticing some exciting changes in my hair and nails. That is the only thing I have added.

I think it is helping me stretch my relaxer time. :yep:

You're so welcomed MrsR:yep:. Ayurveda hair care is wonderful and I am so glad I did my research on it as well and finally using it to grow my hair nice and healthy. I love doing henna gloss treatments too:lick: as they makes my hair feel a little thicker.

I totally agree with all the bolded above for my hair as well. Maybe we're hair twins...:ohwell:

I just got finish from deep conditioning with Motions D.P.T and I have to say it's a keeper while I continue to stretch my relaxer. It does have mineral oil in it but it tamed my new growth and it detangled my hair well.

Also a hit Gold N Hot blow dryer for $16, I bought it because it had a pik and a pistol nozzle which will fit just about any attachment. I hate when the pik break on a dryer and I can't find a replacement.

Hit:
Yes to Carrots Pampering Mud conditioner. I need to find this stuff in bulk.

MonaLisa got me hooked on this stuff and I have been having a hard time finding it in VA. Are you the one that said they had it at Target in Woodbridge? Yeah um...I may have to go and clear out them shelves :look:.

ETA: Oops thought this was the mask
