I would not do it both before and after, you should space the treatments at least 4-6 weeks apart.

I always do mine AFTER a relaxer to repair the weakening done by the relaxer. It's usally a week or so afterwards depending on when I feel like doing a looooong washing session.


But after vigorously washing out the relaxer, I put DuoTex on my hair for about 4 minutes before I neutralize. I don't remember who from, but I got that from here on the board and won't go without doing it.

I space my treatments out every 4-6 weeks, so i dont intentionally schedule them areound relaxer applications. Even if i dont do an aphogee prior to my relaxer I do some type of reconstructive the wash before, and i usually end up doing the aphogee within 2 weeks post relaxer.
