Aphogee treatment before a relaxer

Is it okay to do an Aphogee treatment a week before a relaxer? The reason I ask is because there was a thread about protein possibly having an affect on relaxers. Or, will my hair break off? Thanks!

I did this the week before my last relaxer and I think it helped tremendously since relaxing takes out some of the protein in your hair I think it helped and not hindered my hair. Also, it did not affect the straightness of my relaxer in fact this was the best touch-up I've had in months!

Thanks for the reply Ms Kenesha. I'm glad to hear that your hair didn't break or it didn't hinder your hair. I hope I get great results too. By the way, how long do you stretch your touchups?

Cami, I try to go between 6 & 8 weeks, but my two previous touch-ups I kept getting underproccessed so I went in sooner.

I've tried this before with aphogee and did not notice any adverse effects. I try to give my hair extra special treatment before a touch up.
