What do you think of Aphogee's pro-vitamin leave-in conditioner?

Does it help stop breakage like it says it does, and does it make your hair more manageable?
 
I love it on my fresh relaxers. :) :)
I notice it help keeps my strands strong after washes. ;)

I am not a fan of liquid leave ins. My hair needs a creamy leavin for any kind of slip or any hope of airdrying effectively. It's not a bad product, just did nothing for me personally.
 
Let's say that is all I use to use for years up until about 6 months ago. I pulled it back out today and said I'd never stop using it again. This makes my hair feel healthy, leaves it with a natural sheen, my hair feels stronger and softer.
 
i really like it. on wash day, i use it in conjunction with Shea Moisture's Deep Treatment masque as my leave in/moisturizer/styling aid combo. I also keep some in a spray bottle, slightly diluted to spritz (and reseal) during the week.

my daughter also started using it and noticed a significant change in how much breakage she was seeing. she uses it when she twists her hair and then seals with coconut oil and is having really good results. she has suffered from alopecia, along with some health issues that made her hair really dry and brittle. her hair is now thriving.
 
I love this stuff:worship2::worship2: this did wonders for my hair. If I did not have this for my hair I don't think it would be as healthy. I use when i'm in braids,wigs,twist extensions,twist outs,and my everyday hair. I have seen less breakage and little to no heat damage. I can say that because I went three months with no other product just water,heat protect of course,and Aphogee leave in. I am heat trained and I was like :blush::blush::blush: there is not heat damage or fryieness feeling to my hair. (If I spelled my made up word right). Yes, It does both stop breakage and make it more manageable. My mom said she use to use it on her hair but had forgotten about it. AHHHHH.....I love hair products I can talk about them all day :yep:
 
Love it! i make a 50/50 spray with the aphogee keratin green tea. It gives a great prot/moist balance.
 
Used this product (diluted with a bit of water, & mixed with some ceramide oils) as my oldest DD's leave-in and daily moisturizer for over 1 year. Her hair is very fine, and was breaking badly wasn't retaining any length (pre-LHCF). Her hair is now thriving- she went from SL to BSL in the last year :)

Now that I've gotten her protein/moisture levels under control, this leave-in is too strong for her strands. But I still wholeheartedly recommend this product for anyone looking to get breakage under control. The whole Aphogee line is awesome for breakage.
 
Love love love this product! It is an integral part of my daily spritz, and if I'm washing my hair and it feels a little mushy, I put this on and we're good to go. In the summer I use it as a base under a heavier moisturizer when I do my twists or buns. One of the few products that I genuinely refuse to be without :yep:.
 
i like it alot i use it to moisten my hair before i seal with shea or oil sometimes
 
Ok, this is good to know you can use this without heat because I thought it only worked with heat so I only used it before blowdrying.
 
This is my staple leave in. I have been using it for years
 
I've tried to use the leave in on several occasions and nixed it because it causes shedding for me.
 
Are you ladies using the spray or the cream? I have the spray and I hate that stuff. I don't use it anymore. Is there a difference?

I tried it before and it seemed to leave my hair brittle. Maybe I used it wrong or layered it with other products incorrectly. I've found other leave in conditioners that I like better. I do, however, like using the green tea reconstructor.

HoneyCoated, I never used Surge because it was discontinued before I knew it existed & was hard to find. I did look up some of the ingredients in Surge and came across Muccopolysaccharides. I found Megatek/Rejuvenator through my search for products with Muccopolysaccharides. I think that's why I decided to give the Pro Vitamin leave in a try.

HoneyCoated, Megatek worked well for me, giving me thickness over super growth and my hair was strong. I haven't used it in a while because I got tired of ordering it over the web and just thought most proteins that I can buy in store would be equally good for my hair. I may revisit Megatek as a weekly protein treatment. It's easier for me to keep my moisture/protein balance in check versus just using Megatek on the scalp.

LADI - Maybe I should rephrase because I only "think" the keratin is the protein aspect. i know when I use the green tea alone, my hair is hard. It's mushy with the pro-v by itself.
 
Has anyone tried mixing the pro-v or green tea with the Surge Extra Strength Leave In Moisturizing Lotion? Ya'll have me over here thinking. I've gone back to using my pro-v since I started relaxing in July. I normally use the green tea when I'm to use heat
 
-Anyone using this that is protein sensitive?
-Is this a heat activated product? (I've read it was in threads past; just wanted to verify)
-Anyone using it for roller setting?
