Since I've heard so many positives about this product, I'd like to try to incorporate it into my regime. Is this a light protein reconstructor? How often should it be used and when?

I alternate moisture and protein condish you can use the reconstructor every other week just keep an eye on your hair's protein-moisture balance...

Yep...What she said. The aphogee is a good one. When my hair looks a little damaged I use it once a week for three weeks or so. Just follow it with a moisturizing conditioner. It is also great right after rinsing out relaxer if you self relax. I apply it for like 5 mintues and then proceed to neutralizing.

ITA...and it is a light protein conditioner.

Very light protein. It gives hair a nice feel after. Don't be fooled, you will still need a moisturizing conditioner after. This is a staple of mine.

you know what? I just got this one too and tried it the other day it really is good, I had the two step before and I never liked it, but this 2 min is a keeper :yep:

The moisturizing condish you guys use afterward, is it the aphogee brand moisturizing product that they make that they say is for use after any aphogee treatment OR are you using your fave moisturizing condish?

I use this or some other light protein reconstructor weekly. Since I use light protein weekly, I follow it up with a moisturizing DC each time.

It's my Vo5 Moisture Milks in either Strawberries and Cream or Passionfruit Smoothie.

I'm using my fav DC (as I type I'm under the dryer). I did the 2 minute reconstructor, then did porosity control concentrated on my ends, now I'm sitting under the dryer with my AOHSR mixed with honey, castor, jojoba and marula oil! I hope it turns out yummy!!:lick:

:yep::yep: I stopped using a moisturizing condish after the Aphogee 2-min. & I saw & felt the difference over time. Even though it's light, I still need to use a moisturizing conditioner afterwards.

It's a staple of mine too. I use it almost every time I wash my hair.

I use KBB Deep Condish afterward.

I use it weekly and follow up with a deep conditioning treament with ORS Hair Mayo.

Definitely have used this in conjuction with ORS hair mayo. The Aphogee 2 min con is my relaxer mid step protein. Hands down. When I need protein any other day I mix a spoonful of this with my moisturizing con of the week (right now it's Renpure).

Yeah I think it's great! I haven't done the full Protein treament product yet from Aphogee but I think so far the 2 Min works fine for me.

Am I the only one who actually uses it for exactly 2 minutes?

Nope...I only use it in the shower so it is on for only a few minutes or however my shower lasts...

Yeah, I use it in the shower after washing my hair. I'm such a loser because I count to 120 (that's 2 minutes, baby!) and then wash it off lol

It's hard for me to characterize this product as "light". It is light compared to my staple Deep Conditioner UBH Deep Conditioner, but anything is light compared to that.

But I love the Aphogee 2 minute. I use this when my hair needs Keratin, but what's great about it is that it leaves the hair VERY soft...the kind you can't keep your hands out of. sometimes Keratin conditioners leave it feeling strong but slightly unelastic. I had to rescue my hair, so for 3 weeks I used the UBH, then this week I used the Aphogee...my hair is like butter. Great product

My hair has been breaking terribly. I did an emergencee treatment and nothing... Should I wait a week before trying this? I am thinking maybe I need more protein. Going to pick up some Silicon Mix on my way in.

Hey Ladies glad I found this post. All this time I was mixing Aphogee 2 min with Suave Humectant anD some oils and some honey and Evoo....smh

Should I continue to use it that way or use the moist. condish after?
